CODE celebrated the 10th running of the ORW Lazo de Amistad Grand Prix in Jacume Baja Mx.
This race has been a favorite of racers and spectators for many years and this year’s race did not disappoint.
Friday night contingency/tech was held on the Rancho Jacume grounds complete with all of what you expect from any Baja race.

An all new course lay out had the regulars scrambling to find their lines. Many pre-ran late into the night, some found lines that weren’t the greatest.
Traditionally this race has been a bit on the hot and dusty side but this year wasn’t bad with cooler temps and mountain breezes.
Most liked the new technical race course which ran a 20 mile loop of Baja’s finest.
The closest racing of the day was in the entry stacked classes 11
and 1600.
Jacume has always been a very spectator friendly race and the fans were treated with some great action with races throughout the day
“We had a great event today.” “There were no major incidents and almost everyone liked the new course.” “Well, at least the guys who won did.”, Said Alfonso LaCarra laughingly, “But I think we had some great racing today and we’ll have more tomorrow morning with the bikes.” “I couldn’t be happier with the support and turn out we’ve have this weekend.”
Come support CODE Off-Road at their next event near Mexicali at the Mexicana Logistics 300 held on the Laguna Salada on October 1st-2nd. You will not be disappointed!
