Essor-Speed Energy Paseo de Prerunners

The second date for Essor’s 2012 calendar gathered families from Mexico and U.S.A. to celebrate Speed Energy’s Paseo de Prerunners at Rancho Grijalva in Ojos Negros.

Essor’s president, Carlos Tapia kept this event a family festival for all ages.  The event went around an 8 mile course 6 times and at the finish line each competitor received an envelope with a number inside. Whoever added up the most points was declared the winner.

In the motorcycle class, the winner was Raul Gonzalez with a total of 2217 points, second was Edson Cruz with 2087 and third went to Luis Vazquez with 2023.

After the motorcycles came the four wheel vehicles where Fabian Aros from Chatarras Racing Team became the winner with 2045 points.

Aros was followed to the podium by Omar Chavez in second and Alejandro Cancino in third respectably.

A total of 48 entries between motorcycles and 4 wheel vehicles from Baja California and California were part of this family adventure that gave championship points to the drivers that had to pay a more expensive entry fee than other drivers that were there just for the fun.

The third event of the 2012 Championship will return to Rancho Grijalva in May, the date of the event is still TBD by Carlos Tapia, it will be the Essor 180.

La segunda fecha del campeonato 2012 de Essor logró reunir a muchas familias de México y Estados Unidos con la celebración del Speed Energy Paseo de Pre-Runners en el rancho Grijalva de Ojos Negros.

El presidente de Essor, Carlos Tapia mantuvo su evento de convivencia familiar para todas las edades, mismo que consistió en dar 6 vueltas a una pista de 8 millas y al llegar a la meta, cada competidor recibía un sobre con un número, quien sumara la mayor cantidad era el ganador.

Dentro de las motocicletas, el vencedor fue Raúl González con 2217 puntos, seguido por Edson Cruz en el subliderato con 2087 y en tercero apareció Luis Vázquez con 2023.

Tras finalizar las motos su participación fue tiempo de ver a los carros, en donde el triunfador fue Fabián Aros del equipo Chatarras Racing Team con 2045 puntos.

Aros fue seguido en el podio del evento por Omar Chávez en segundo sitio y en tercero por Alejandro Cancino.

Un total de 48 participantes entre motocicletas y vehículos de Baja California y California fueron parte de esta aventura familiar, que dio puntos a los pilotos que pagaron una inscripción más costosa a diferencia de quienes pagaron menos dinero.

La tercera fecha del campeonato 2012 se realizará en el rancho Grijalva en mayo, con fecha pendiente por confirmar por parte de Carlos Tapia con la carrera Essor 180.
