Flying Dutchman Off Road Racing – Oshkosh Race Preview
Appleton, WI (July 20, 2010) – The Flying Dutchman Off Road Race Team heads to the Oshkosh Speedzone for the TRAXXAS TORC Series this week. Catch all the action under the lights this Friday and Saturday. Spectator gates open at 1:00pm with opening ceremonies set for 4:50 on Friday. Get there early and take advantage of the open pit area. Meet your favorite drivers and see them in action.
The Oshkosh Speedzone is a short technical track that is sure to create some exciting side by side racing action. Not only will there be excitement off the track, there will also be a TRAXXAS Try Me Track, and the always popular Pro Drivers RC Challenge. As always, the pits are open to the public. The Flying Dutchman Off Road Race Team is currently competing in the TRAXXAS TORC Series, Presented by Amsoil. Dan Vanden Heuvel, Sr. is behind the wheel of the No. 77 Maxxis Tire Chevrolet in the Pro 2WD Class. Dan has over 30 years experience in off road racing and is the 2008 Pro 2WD Class Champion and 2008 Pro Driver of the Year. Mike Vanden Heuvel is currently in his rookie year behind the wheel of the No. 299 Flanagan’s Stop-N-Shop sponsored Chevrolet in the Limited 2WD Class. Mike is the 2008 1600 Light Buggy Champion and the 2008 Crandon World Champion.
