LAKE FOREST, CA (June 23, 2009) – It’s homecoming week for Carl Renezeder and his Southern California-based race team. This weekend, June 27-28, Renezeder will pilot his Lucas Oil Unlimited 4 and Unlimited 2 trucks at a brand new short-course off-road track in Lake Elsinore, just a short drive from his team’s headquarters, for rounds five and six of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series.

“This is going to be an outstanding facility for the Lucas Oil Series,” commented Renezeder after a recent visit to the track, which included meeting the mayor of Lake Elsinore and several city officials. “The entire community seems to be in support of the event, and it’s in the heart of off-road country. Fans and racers alike are in for an amazing weekend.”

Renezeder has had a stellar start to the 2009 season with five wins, and he’s currently leading the Unlimited 4 points by nine. He’s only four points out of the Unlimited 2 lead in third place.

As if the phenomenal staff and facilities weren’t enough, the Lucas Oil Off Road Series, along with broadcasting partner E3 Spark Plugs, is posting an enhanced purse for the weekend. Unlimited 4 and Unlimited 2 drivers have a chance to chase down $10,000 for winning, $5,000 for second, and $2,500 for third in both rounds. Then two weeks later, fans and racers can kick back in the comfort of their own homes to watch the action again on SPEED Channel, as the event is due to air on Sunday, July 12 at 2:00pm and 3:00pm Eastern.

The series will reconvene at the Lucas Oil Motorsports Complex in Lake Elsinore for rounds seven and eight the weekend of July 25-26.
