Mads Ostberg won Aurskog Holand Rally, Andreas Mikkelsen retained N Championship leads

Mads Ostberg and his new Swedish Co-driver Jonas Andersson won the round five of Norwegian Rally Championship, “Aurskog Holand Rally” which was taken place on 6 June in his Subaru Impreza WRC. Ostberg thus strengthened its leads on the series and on the way with his third straight title.

Fellow Subaru driver, Anders Grondal took the second spot on the podium in a same spec of Subaru Impreza WRC and moves up to fourth place in the championship. Ostberg will be back behind the wheel of his Impreza WRC2008 next weekend, continuing his WRC campaign at the Acropolis Rally of Greece.

This event is also standing as round five of Norwegian Subaru Cup. Andreas Mik-kelsen/Ola Floene in their Subaru Impreza STI 08 won not only among Subaru Cup, but also won Gr. N, third Overall of the event. Sveinung Bieltvedt in a Gr. N Impreza finished 2nd. in Gr. N, and Pontus Tiedemand 4th.

“We have not made any major mistakes. We bet that little too hard on the fourth leg so when it went a little beyond the car, otherwise we have had a perfect race, “said Mikkelsen.
Mikkelsen now has a huge leads in the N class of Norwegian Rally Championship and the Subaru Cup. There is two more Rallies in the Championship.

The sixth round of the Norwegian Rally Championship, “Rally Larvik”, takes place on 12 September.
