Michael Krahling, crew chief to Ricky Johnson is passing on the torch and stepping out on his own

After 2 years of dominating as Ricky Johnson’s Pro4 Crew Chief, Michael Krahling has decided to branch out on his own and start up Krahling Performance and Design (KPD), LLC. The many services that he provided Menzies Motorsports, he will now be offering to any race team.

I am hoping to spend more time on my growing business and getting back to my specialty of creating something new and then squeezing every inch of performance out of it, while still giving what I can to the off- road racing teams.” – said Michael Krahling.

KPD’s energy will be focused on providing quality chassis construction, team engineering, drivetrain technology and development. With over 10 years of experience and numerous championships, there is no question that Michael Krahling has what it takes to design championship-winning trucks. Off-Road racing trucks and buggies will be Krahling’s main focus for the 2013year.

As Michael made the decision to step away from Menzies Motorsports and start his own business, he still has the full support of team owner, Steve Menzies.

Chassis construction under lead of Dave Clark for Rob Mac’s 3x PRO-2 Championship Truck.
Chassis construction for Bryce Menzies Back-to-Back TORC PRO-2 Championship Truck.
Chassis construction of Menzies Motorsports PRO-4 chassis that landed Back-to-Back TORC PRO-4 Championships with Ricky Johnson, a win ratio of 60% and a podium Ratio of 85% in the last 2 years.
15 Pro4 wins, 23 podiums, 12 Oakely bomb awards (fastest lap), an AMSOIL Cup Championship and the inaugural Rick Huseman Cup Victory.
