Team LeDuc Racing Gets all “Fired-Up” at Perris Auto Speedway

After spending the summer months competing at historic venues in Wisconsin and Michigan, The Off-Road Championship (TORC) series headed West for the final two races of the season. It was an intense weekend of competition in Perris, California and the Rockstar / Makita Team LeDuc Racing was all “fired up” to defend their previous victories earlier in the month at Crandon International Raceway. Rounds 13 and 14 of TORC series racing kicked off Friday night under the lights of Perris Auto Speedway and returned to the venue for the second time this season to a nearly sold-out crowd of 12,000 off-road enthusiasts.
Friday night’s Round 13 Pro 4×4 action found Kyle LeDuc, in the No. 99, starting fifth and making a charge for the front when he and Scott Douglas bumped fenders. Receiving extensive damage to the driver’s side A-arm, spindle and shock, Kyle’s race ended when he hit the wall in turn four while battling it out with Douglas. Curt LeDuc, in the No. 43 Pro 4×4, ran a consistent race and earned a fifth place finish.
After a full evening of repairs, Saturday’s Pro 4×4 racing found Kyle LeDuc making an incredible comeback to claim the second place podium and maintain his second place standing in the points chase. “My Dad stayed up all night and worked on my truck to get it ready for today’s race. He and my crew really came through for me,” commented Kyle. “I have to beat Huseman both rounds during the final race in Vegas next month to claim the championship. I will do my job, it is up to him how he performs.”
Starting second for Round 14, Curt LeDuc was once again running a consistent race and provided the spectators with quite a show when a cracked oil fitting caused the headers to flash-fire. Heading towards the finish with fiery flames shooting out from under the No. 43, Curt took the checkered flag in sixth place and earned valuable points towards the year-end championship finale in Las Vegas, Nevada.
As the Pro 2WD’s staged for Round 13 of TORC series racing, Todd LeDuc started fifth and maintained track position until after the competition yellow. Making his move for the front, LeDuc was successful at gaining a position and finishing fourth during Friday night’s racing under the lights.
Saturday’s Round 14 action found the No. 3 Pro 2WD of Todd LeDuc’s starting fourth and finishing the race with a third place podium. With Todd currently sitting third on the points grid and trailing the leader by just nine points, the Pro 2WD competition at the season finale in Las Vegas will be the race to watch!
Rockstar / Makita’s Team LeDuc Racing will return to the track for the season finale of Traxxas TORC Series racing on October 23 – 24 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Coverage of The Off-Road Championship Series Perris race can be seen Sunday, October 4th on the ESPN2 Network at 9:30 a.m. Pacific Standard Time and 11:30 a.m. Eastern time.

After receiving a DNF during Round 13 (due to a crash with Scott Douglas) Kyle LeDuc returned to Round 14 of TORC series racing to claim the second place podium.
We already have a hard enough time finding a helmet to fit Kyle’s head! This certainly will not help….!
