Taylor Looking to Make History with Seventh PRO-2 Championship

Belvidere, IL (June 15, 2010) – Veteran Scott Taylor heads into his thirty-eighth year of off-road competition with a rejuvenated sense of determination to capture an unprecedented seventh PRO-2 Championship. The changes in the Traxxas TORC Series presented by AMSOIL during the off-season have really energized everyone at Taylor Racing.

“With USAC at the reigns, TORC will become a standout Motorsports series,” remarked Scott Taylor. “For quite sometime our racing has been covered in a very traditional way with tweaks here and there, and the end result has been about the same. (When it came to viewership numbers). With USAC creating a reality series based upon TORC and its racers is really thinking outside the box. I believe this type of programming will expand our viewership and grow our fan base tremendously.”

The opening weekend of TORC PRO Series racing begins this weekend at “The Big House” in Crandon, Wisconsin. In 2010 the blue #8 Ford F-150 will continue its relationship with Miller Welders, BFGoodrich Tires, RoushYates Engines, Ford Trucks, AMSOIL, King Shocks, and Phil’s Inc.

The complete Traxxas TORC Series presented by AMSOIL can be watched live online @www.usacracing.com, as well throughout the season as every round of racing will be archived online as well.

The TORC reality series will be broadcast Thursday nights for twenty-six straight weeks on Discovery’s HD Theatre beginning this September.
