A Tale of Two Bajas – 2009 Baja 1000 Race Report – #1005 & #616
Since I had not raced anything since the Vegas to Reno race in 2008, I was eager to find a ride for this year’s Baja 1000. I guess that old saying about being careful what you wish for is certainly true, because I ended up with two rides this year. Fortunately both of the team owners were willing to let me drive for the other team and they were able to give me sections that made it logistically possible. Andy wins battle – Robby wins war

The Baja 1000 marks the finale of the SCORE season and champions are either made or eluded with slim points margins. In Trophy Truck Andy McMillin won the race after looking strong and fast all day long at no surprise. Robby Gordon simply had to finish the race in order to be crowned champion. Easier said then done as lots of contenders never finish the race.

Mohave Valley, AZ. November 6, 2009: On November 19th, Racers Only motorsports will compete in the worlds most toughest off road race…..The SCORE TECATE BAJA 1000. Over 325 entries are expected. Racers from 34 states and 12 countries, in the nationally-televised granddaddy of all desert races. The Racers Only entry will start all the way back at the end of the field (well, almost the end) in the Sportsman Buggy class (#1448). Dezert People Lucky 7 is the latest video in the successful line of videos produced by JD Films. The premier tour kicked off Saturday night at the Shark Club in Costa Mesa with over 300 people attending. Since this was “Lucky 7″ everyone in attendance had a chance to win one of the awesome prizes donated by some of the sponsors. Fox Racing Shox the title sponsor of the video series generously provided multiple girt certificates for products. PCI Race Radios also donated half a dozen TT models along with girt certificates. OC Motorsports might have had the most desired give-a-way of the night when they brought a Team Associated SC10 R/C Car. Bully Dog, Lucas Oil, Baja Junkies, and Norco Tire also donated prizes to the raffle. Read more
