Baja 500 – To the podium in formation flight

Dear friends, partners and sponsors,

You’ve probably already read or heard that we achieved a double whammy with our AGM team at the Baja 500 during the first weekend in June. Martin Christensen and I managed to bring home second after 860 kilometres through the desert of Baja California. Our team mates Armin Kremer and Andreas Aigner climbed the podium in third in the coastal town of Ensenada on the Pacific. This is a fantastic achievement, even when it hurts a little that victory was right before our eyes. In the end, only 123 seconds separated us from the winner. Read more

Gordon Received Penalty for Fueling on Highway Section

#77 Robby Gordon issued a press release today stating that his stationary pit
near race mile 290 at the recent Baja 500 was in compliance with SCORE rules.

SCORE has NOT called into question the legality of the stationary pit. However, the
manner in which the race vehicle was actually serviced is clearly illegal. Read more

June 12, 2008 – The 41st edition of the SCORE Baja 500 kicked off under beautiful sunny skies along the downtown waterfront of Ensenada, Baja California. Greeting housands of fans was ROCKSTAR Energy Drink athlete, Rob MacCachren, as he stood dressed for battle among the desert warriors.

The sense of the calm before the storm was present as the world’s top off road racers gathered along Mexico’s Pacific Coast for the 2009 SCORE Baja 500, a race that many consider only second in toughness to the legendary SCORE Baja 1000 desert race. Read more

SCORE International bites back

After much speculation and five days of review, I do not think words can explain the absolute astonishment I felt upon hearing the official results of the 2009 Baja 500.  Finally Sal Fish, President of SCORE International, has followed through on his promise of “putting teeth back into the sport.” The official results of last week’s Baja 500 were announced this morning and there were some major changes in the finishing order and results. Robby Gordon/Toyo Tires Win Baja… Again!

ENSENADA, MEXICO – Robby Gordon, driver of the #77 Monster Energy/Toyo Tires Chevy CK1500 trophy truck, won the 41st running of the legendary Tecate SCORE Baja 500 this weekend while competing on 37X13.50R17 Toyo Open Country M/T®-R tires. Gordon finished this year’s punishing off-road race, which spanned 432.51-miles, in a time of 8:35:49… a 50.309-mph average speed. Read more

AGM team narrowly miss sensational result at BAJA 500

Success dash on the Baja California. Way over 200,000 enthusiastic fans witnessed the brilliant performance of the All German Motorsport squad (AGM) at the 41st running of the infamous BAJA 500 on the Mexican peninsular. At the third of five rounds of the world’s top class and fiercely contested offroad series, the AGM pilots Armin Schwarz and Martin Christensen as well as Armin Kremer and Andreas Aigner took the podium by storm with positions two and three in the Class 1 for “Unlimited” Buggys.

Robby Gordon Wins the 41st Tecate SCORE Baja 500

CHARLOTTE, NC (June 6, 2009) – Robby Gordon and his No. 77 Monster Energy / Toyo Tires team continued their dirt-defying dominance of the 2009 SCORE Desert Series season by winning the coveted Baja 500 title on Saturday. Gordon continues to lead the 2009 points standing and set the pace for the rest of the competitors this season. In the three races ran this season, Gordon holds two victories and a second place finish.
