Riverside, California (November 9, 2011) - Seven-time supercross champion, Jeremy McGrath led the Pro2 field from wire to wire capturing the first of three podiums for Stronghold Motorsports in Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series action at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Starting on the pole for Round 13, McGrath quickly distanced himself from the pack and held off a late race challenge to take his first win and fifth podium of the season. His near flawless dominance of the Pro2 class left competitors charging through the field behind him as one of the largest and most talented fields the class has seen this season were left to battle for second place. On Sunday, starting deeper in the pack, McGrath fought his way through the competition until a spin out, with just two laps remaining in Round 14, nullified his return to the podium and he was forced to settle for a sixth place finish.

While McGrath was enjoying the Round 13 lead, Pro2 teammate, Rob Naughton was knocked off the track midway through the race by hard contact that left him shuffled back in the pack. But Naughton’s persistence paid off and he quickly and cleanly worked his way through the field to battle back to a fifth place finish. Sunday, he came back with a vengeance as he started Round 14 on the second row, quickly jumped out behind the leader at the drop of the green flag and challenged for the win throughout the entire race. With the chaos behind him, Naughton mounted his charge as he surged toward the checkered flag with a second place finish; his fifth trip to the podium this season as well as the tenth trophy this season for Stronghold Motorsports in the elite Pro2 category.

Bouncing back from a disappointing eighth the prior day, Cameron Steele immediately came out swinging on Sunday, inserting himself into the mix while picking his way through the competition. With little room to pass on the tight, mile long Las Vegas track, Steele hung it all out as he powered into third, which he held on to all the way to the checkered flag. As there are precious few rounds of valuable points races remaining in Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series competition, each position becomes more vital. With this, Steele’s third place result in Round 14 ProLite event kept him within sight of the leaders in the championship hunt.

Brandon Bailey continues to impress as he navigates his way through the ranks of the ProBuggy division. He was forced to overcome mechanical issues that held him to an eighth place result in Round 13 but returned Sunday to insert himself into the fray. While making passes late in the race, Bailey had one of his best showings of season, barely matching his career best finish in the class and taking fifth place on the day.

Sharing roots in Riverside, California as well as a home in the paddock, the Stronghold organization’s admiration and respect for Rick Huseman and the entire Huseman family extended well beyond the race track. As Rounds 13&14 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series approach, participants and spectators who attend the event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will honor Huseman’s legacy as the humble, soft spoken man of faith who made history as he dominated the off road racing world.

Rob Naughton #54 LOSI Pro 2

The Pro2 duo of Rob Naughton and Jeremy McGrath arrive in Las Vegas determined to stand on top in these crucial final rounds of racing. At Las Vegas, Naughton will be feature a very special livery to coincide with the introduction of the first 1/5th scale four wheel drive RC car produced by manufacturer, Losi. With three victories among his four podium results this season, he has firmly entrenched himself among the elite in the class. McGrath, who has shown that he has the skill and determination to run at the front while finishing on the podium in four rounds, now looks to capture the victory that has eluded him thus far this season.

Jeremy McGrath #2 Pro 2

Cameron Steele’s development in this, his first season in the ProLite class has been a thrill ride of exhilaration and disappointment. Although he has taken one win thus far, his season has been hampered by a series of mechanical issues and aggressive vehicle contact that blocked his path to the podium in a number of rounds. This weekend, with just three rounds remaining, Steele is focused on reestablishing the consistency that has had him running with the class leaders throughout the season.

Cameron Steele #16 ProLite

Having equaled his career best fourth place finish in ProBuggy in his last outing, Brandon Bailey continues to fight his way through the pack as he battles with the best in the class. In Las Vegas, Bailey seeks to parlay his progress into a trip to the podium as he continues to elevate his expectations each time he pulls up to the starting line.

1. How did you get started racing off-road?

Started at age 11 racing motocross, I raced professionally from 1985 to 1989 in AMA Supercross and Outdoor Nationals, nearly winning the 1987 AMA 125cc West Supercross Championship. I then moved to Downhill Mountain bike racing after college where I won the Downhill Mountain bike event in the inaugural ESPN X grames in 1995. This is when I started my relationship with Maxxis tires racing on Maxxis mountain bike tires starting in 1996. I then started racing motorcycles again racing the AMA 4 stroke national series and the WORCS series again on Maxxis tires.

In 2005 I watched a short course race at Chula Vista and right then and there knew I had to be involved. In 2006, I bought a Pro-Lite and began my short course career. In 4 seasons in Pro-Lite I won 20 races and then the 2007 Pro-Lite Championship and was voted Driver of the year. I moved to Pro-2 for Stronghold Motorsports in 2010 and after a year of figuring the Pro-2 class out, in 2011 I have won 3 races this year and have one 2nd.

2. You’ve won a championship in Pro-Lite, and this year you’ve won a few races, I take it you’ve made the adjustment to Pro-2. What’s different your second season in Pro-2?

The difference is we have a year under our belts and we have a great team and crew<var id="yui-ie-cursor"></var>. We had a great crew last year and this year it even got stronger with the addition of Dave Clark and his crew. In addition to that, Stronghold Motorsports team owner Scott Bailey, his wife Beverly and business partner Chuck have given us the best equipment money can buy. When you have the best team and equipment you have the confidence to win. Once I got my first Pro-2 win at Firebird in Round 2, it gave me the confidence to know I can win and then followed it up with back to back wins in Utah. Confidence is everything.

3. As a member of the Stronghold SuperTeam, how different is it being a part of the team instead of racing on your own?

It takes the stress off of having to be in charge of everything and being able to focus on being the best driver I can.

4. What’s your favorite track? Why?

I really dont have a favorite but I do have a least favorite and that is Glen Helen. Glen Helen is just too small and makes for a lot of carnage. We really need a bigger and better track to race in So Cal. The rest of the tracks race well and are fun to drive and make for great racing.

5. You’ve been with Maxxis Tires for several years now, how have they helped your racing?

Thats right, I have been with Maxxis for 15 years. I have raced on thier mountain bike tires, their motorcycle tires and now their off-road truck tires. To have that type of commitment from them over my career has been awesome. They have given me great support and everything I need to win tire wise regardless of the discipline. I really appreciate their commitment to me over the years.

6. So what’s better; being on the podium or seeing your daughter win a race in Trophy Karts?

Racing is my job so definitely It’s important that I am on the podium and win races and represent my team and sponsors well. That said, watching my daughter Bella win the Jr. 2 Challenge Cup Race at Firebird was awesome and something I will always remember. Seeing her stand on top of her truck in front of the crowd like she has watched me do over the years was very special. We do the kart racing for fun and as a family, my wife Amber usually is Bella’s spotter so her racing is just a bonus to the entire family and program for us.

The Pro 2 Championship is coming down to the wire and with fewer opportunities to earn crucial championship points, both Rob Naughton and Jeremy McGrath faced an endless onslaught of challengers on the edge of control. Naughton, unable to make the weekend’s qualifying session due to a motor change, was forced to start Saturday’s Pro 2 action in the back of the pack while McGrath had a more favorable starting position. As Naughton was patiently picking his way through the competition, McGrath quickly joined the leaders at the front. Throughout the 18 lap main event McGrath was in the hunt for a podium position, eventually gaining the third spot on the track which he never relinquished for his fourth trophy of the season. Naughton’s relentless perseverance battling though the field earned him a hard fought fifth place finish.

Jeremy McGrath #2 Pro 2 Takes 3rd Place at SpeedWorld

Sunday’s action was clearly the marquis event of the weekend. With Jeremy McGrath on the front row and Rob Naughton just a few rows behind him, the Stronghold team was poised for a return trip to the podium. Within the first two turns, optimism quickly turned to disappointment as both McGrath and Naughton were spun out in separate incidents. Shortly thereafter, another driver drifted off the course, made an ill advised return to the track and was met by an oncoming freight train of 900 horse powered trucks. The violent impact stunned the crowd as four separate vehicles, including McGrath, were collected in the incident. Once the dust settled, McGrath returned to the track, but with vital suspension components destroyed from the crash, he was unable to stay on pace with the leaders. By midrace, Naughton had worked his way from the back of the pack up to a top five position and was running strong. Continuing his advance throughout the remainder of the event, he ultimately captured an impressive second place finish.

As McGrath and Naughton were facing their own challenges, Cameron Steele, who began the weekend third in the ProLite standings, had strong showings cut short both Saturday and Sunday with mechanical gremlins. Saturday, while challenging for the podium, Steele was cut down by a mechanical issue with just one lap remaining. He returned on Sunday with a strong performance, but while once again contending for the lead, an issue with the truck’s steering system prevented him from competing for a podium result.

Brandon Bailey’s impressive fourth place finish in Round 11 equaled his career best in the class. Taking that same momentum into Sunday’s round, he quickly found himself dicing with the front runners. Unfortunately, his race was cut short as a mechanical issue forced him to pull off the track, putting an abrupt end to Bailey’s otherwise successful weekend.

Stronghold Motorsports Rob Naughton dominated the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Pro 2 Unlimited class as he emerged victorious in back to back rounds at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah. Saturday, Naughton stood alongside second place finisher and teammate Jeremy McGrath marking the second time this season the tandem took the top two spots in the series’ elite class. The debut of the 9/10th mile, purpose built track at the expansive facility was greeted with standing room only, capacity crowds and intense racing throughout the weekend.

As teams were facing off on an unfamiliar course, Naughton embraced the challenge and established himself as a contender early in the weekend. “Our goal was to come out of the gate in the first practice with great lap times and set the pace,” he said. “I really like the track and we were able to nail the set up and find some speed.” Saturday, Naughton started on the pole and never looked back as he led the field of 900hp trucks while racing unchallenged to the checkered flag. McGrath, charging from further back in the pack was able to work his way through the field, taking the second spot with a spectacular pass, and holding on to the position through the checkered flag. “We kicked off the season at Firebird with a 1-2 finish and now, we’ve done it again,” continued Naughton. “This is a great accomplishment for the entire Stronghold team.”

Demonstrating that his extensive testing time between rounds was paying off, Cameron Steel qualified among the leaders and found himself starting in the pole position for Saturday’s Round #7 of ProLite racing. From the onset, Steele set a quick pace and held the lead. As the race developed, he continued to lower his lap times while fending off the few challengers for the win. Unfortunately, while in the lead and approaching the final lap, Steele’s truck was spun off the course by a competitor. Although the other driver immediately received a black flag penalty, relegating him to the back of the field, the action did little to compensate for what surely was to be Steele’s first career victory in the class. Steele recovered from the illegal contact and was forced to settle for a 4th place finish. On Sunday, Steel again ran up front with the leaders and challenged for a podium position. While maintaining a hold on third place and rounding the final turn of the last lap, he suffered a mechanical failure and the truck lost power. While he was able to restart the truck and complete the race, his second opportunity of the weekend for a podium finish had slipped by.

Riverside, California (May 17, 2011) – With a full slate of activities surrounding Stronghold Motorsports’ first 2011 visit to their home track, the team is maintaining a steadfast focus on their vehicles and drivers as they make final preparations for Rounds 5&6 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series at legendary Glen Helen Raceway.

Having taken the Round 2 win at Firebird Raceway in Arizona, Rob Naughton firmly established himself among the frontrunners for the Pro 2 Unlimited (900HP Truck) season crown. Naughton enters Round 5 with his sights set elevating himself in the championship chase and a return to the top of the box. Racing alongside Naughton in the series’ marquis class, teammate Jeremy McGrath has battled his way to the podium in two of the first four rounds and with a pair of second place finishes, McGrath comes to Glen Helen with his own aspirations of victory.

Jeremy McGrath #2 Pro 2

For 2010 ProBuggy Champion, Cameron Steele, his foray into the ProLite class has been one of consistency and strong finishes as he continues to push the limits of his 300 horse powered mini truck. While the differences in speeds and lap times between the open wheel buggy and the fender shod trucks are comparable, Steele is proving his mettle as the level of aggressive, fender smashing contact in the lite truck class has him adapting his driving style to contend with the leaders in the class.

The hometown crowd at Glen Helen will be amplified as hundreds of employees of the team’s parent organization, Stronghold engineering, and their families will be in attendance celebrating the company’s upcoming twentieth anniversary. For this very special occasion, the familiar yellow paint scheme of the Rob Naughton #54 Pro 2 as well as the #17 ProBuggy of Brandon Bailey will be converted to a unique livery design commemorating the occasion. While his recent top ten finishes have shown that he is a driver to be reckoned with, the significant support from the Stronghold gathering could giver Bailey the edge that may catapult him onto the podium.

Post Race Concert

In conjunction with this Saturday’s short course off road racing festivities, Stronghold Motorsports and Lucas Oil are presenting a concert featuring the bands Assuming We Survive, Hyla Brook, and Atreyu’s Brandon Saller with the Black Cloud Collective. This special concert included with admission, will be held on the main vendor midway at the Lucas Oil Stage for all spectators to enjoy once Saturday’s racing action is completed. Don’t miss The Black Cloud Collective, Hyla Brook and Assuming We survive this Saturday night at Glen Helen!

Riverside, California (April 26, 2011) -
Assembling an all-star lineup featuring seven-time Supercross champion, Jeremy McGrath, ESPN XGames Television personality and off road racing star Cameron Steele, short course champion, Rob Naughton and Brandon Bailey, Stronghold Motorsports has quickly risen to the elite ranks in the high intensity world of off road racing.

The racing tradition being built at Riverside, California based Stronghold Motorsports is an extension of the commitment to quality, hard work and determination that has been the cornerstone of success for its parent organization; Stronghold Engineering. Started in the kitchen of their Inland Empire home by Scott and Beverly Bailey, the company that began as a small home-based electrical contractor almost 20 years ago has evolved into an award winning, full-fledged general, civil and electrical design-build construction company. Now, the same philosophy that formed the foundation of Stronghold Engineering’s success has been applied to Stronghold Motorsports in establishing this new off road racing motorsports powerhouse in the Inland Empire.

The 2011 Stronghold Motorsports Team

As professional short course off road racing teams across the country prepare to compete May 21st & 22nd in rounds 5&6 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, Stronghold Motorsports will be joined by its owners Scott and Beverly Bailey, Chuck Gossage and hundreds of Stronghold Engineering employees and their families as they begin celebrating the upcoming 20th anniversary of the company. Taking advantage of the Glen Helen Raceway’s close proximity of the Stronghold Motorsports headquarters, the entire Stronghold organization will be on hand for the event to share in this new tradition of motorsports excellence. They will be well represented by Stronghold’s Rob Naughton and Brandon Bailey, both racing in vehicles designed with special livery commemorating the occasion, along with their teammates, McGrath and Steele.

Stronghold will enjoy a distinct benefit that redefines home field advantage. Just last year, Lucas Oil Off Road and Stronghold personnel worked side by side to lay the groundwork for bringing short course racing back to Southern California as together they built the brand new off road track that brought capacity crowds to Glen Helen Raceway. Stronghold has taken great pride in having a hand in the development of an extraordinarily successful inaugural Lucas Oil Off Road event at the legendary location.

“Racing for the Cause”
In 2010, the Stronghold organization initiated the “Racing for the Cause” program to benefit Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. The awareness campaign included a visit to the hospital by the Stronghold Team in addition to Off Road Night with the Ontario Reign Hockey Team. While Stronghold Motorsports has established itself as a marquis team in the confined “stadiums” of short course off road racing, their schedule also includes the additional challenge of the wide open southwestern deserts. Team Managing Partner, Scott Bailey, along with son Brandon Bailey will be behind the wheel of their Roush-Yates powered Ford this Saturday, April 30th for the Silver State 300. Having achieved a podium finish at last season’s finale in Henderson, Nevada, the team is well prepared to continue their pursuit of a Best in the Desert 7200 class championship.

Riverside, California (April 19, 2011) - Overcoming a mid pack starting position, Jeremy McGrath fought his way towards the front while holding off a host of challengers to capture a second place finish in Round 4 of Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Pro 2 Unlimited action in Surprise, Arizona. McGrath’s strong showing, his second podium in just four rounds of racing, places him among the elite in his quest for the Pro 2 Unlimited title. Sunday’s jubilation provided redemption for the team as a combination of a violent crash during practice and hard contact during the race led to a disappointing third round of racing just the day before. Saturday’s crash into a solid concrete barrier at speed, caused significant damage to the truck, presenting the crew with the monumental task of making major repairs just hours before the main event.

“After qualifying Saturday, the Stronghold Team worked so hard getting this #2 Pro 2 truck back together and ready to race,” said McGrath after Sunday’s event. “We ran pretty well in Round 3 but this is a deep field with a lot of fast guys and everything has to be on point to run at the front. Our crew worked their butts off to give me a great truck and we fought hard today. Finishing the weekend strong says a lot about these guys and how much they put into this program. This really was a team effort.”

Although short course off road racing attracts audiences with its unique form of no holds barred, fender to fender action, the nature of the sport took its toll on the #54 Pro 2 of Rob Naughton on Saturday as his truck was spun and damaged in the second turn of the first lap by a competitor. Naughton and his crew quickly brushed off the incident to focus on repairing the truck to compete in Sunday’s Round 4.

While McGrath parlayed a disappointing Saturday, Round 3 event into Sunday success, his Stronghold Motorsports teammate, Naughton, also ran towards the front for virtually the entire race on Sunday only to find himself a victim of aggressive competitors after a restart late in the afternoon. Working his way through the field, Naughton joined McGrath in the fray as both drivers fought for a podium finish. Unfortunately, it was Naughton, running in 4th position at the time, who got collected as another driver spun and the throng of Pro 2 trucks stormed by. As he and the Stronghold Team left Arizona disappointed with the results, Naughton remains a strong candidate to challenge for the Pro 2 title.

2010 ProBuggy Champion, Cameron Steel continued his transition into the highly competitive ProLite truck field with a pair of top five finishes for the weekend. Steele, showing that he is a force to be reckoned with in the class, was just four tenths of a second from taking the top spot during Friday’s qualifying session. While his results from both rounds of racing were identical, Steele’s increased comfort level in the truck was on display in Sunday’s action as he continuously challenged for positions before a late race spin took him out of podium contention. Brandon Bailey earned his third top ten ProBuggy finish of the year in Saturday’s Round 2. Sunday, Bailey was consistently running fast laps but contact with another driver put him deep in the field and resulted in his first finish outside the top ten this season.

With the hotly contested title chase taking shape in the stacked Pro 2 field, the duo of Naughton and McGrath have both established top five spots as the series heads into Speedworld in Surprise, Arizona.

“The win was awesome for the entire team,” explained Rob Naughton. “The crew and the team put in an unbelievable amount of hard work to make this all happen. So to have both myself and Jeremy on top of the podium at Firebird was very special. Now we need to continue to run up front and win races to put us in a position to win a championship.”

While the Stronghold crew found early success in Pro 2, the team, not content to rest on its laurels, took advantage of the short intermission between rounds with valuable testing time as they prepare to advance their attack on the standings in three of the series premier classes. 2010 ProBuggy Champion, Cameron Steele, continuing his transition into the ProLite Class, enters the Surprise, Arizona event looking to advance his 8th place position in the championship hunt. Steele, with a pair of solid finishes in Rounds 1&2 faces some of the tightest competition in short course off road racing while he continues to find speed with every lap behind the wheel of his ProLite truck.

For Immediate Release:

“Desire is the key to motivation, but it’s the determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal – a commitment to excellence – that will enable you to attain the success you seek.” - Mario Andretti

Team ReadyLIFT® and our strong off road race teams rolled into Firebird Raceway in Phoenix, Arizona locked and loaded to dominate the first two rounds of dirt action in the 2011 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. There was a lot of excitement and anticipation coming into this first race weekend of the season. Team ReadyLIFT® Racing expanded its team network to include some of the biggest and brightest stars in racing, a list that now includes off road racing legend Johnny Greaves and seven-time Supercross champion Jeremy McGrath! Team ReadyLIFT® driver and 2010 Unlimited Pro Buggy Champion Cameron Steele who also pilots the ReadyLIFT® sponsored Trophy Truck in the desert racing series joined Stronghold Motorsports to drive the Monster Energy/ ReadyLIFT® Unlimited Pro Lite, the same truck that ReadyLIFT’s Marty Hart drove for Stronghold to win the 2010 Pro Lite Championship. For 2011 Marty has joined Johnny G Motorsports to pilot Greaves’ formidable Monster Energy/ ReadyLIFT® Unlimited Pro 2 while ReadyLIFT® Racing veteran Rob “Fig” Naughton has returned to the seat of his Stronghold Pro 2 after winning Rookie of the Year in 2010. Walking the Firebird Raceway pits one thing was boldly clear; Team ReadyLIFT® Racing has stacked the deck with the ultimate dream team in short course off road racing!

Saturday’s highly anticipated Round 1 races were filled with many highs and lows. In Pro 4, Johnny Greaves matted the throttle of his Monster Energy/ ReadyLIFT®/Maxxis Tire Toyota Tundra and solidly commanded the field by leading most of the race until some contact in turn 3 put Greaves up against the fence. Looking to rebound from a series of unfortunate events on Saturday, Sunday’s race was much different as Johnny battled fiercely from the back of the entire field all the way to the front to bang door to door with Rick Huseman for the lead. When the checkers dropped Rick held onto the lead while Greaves finished a strong second place after having passed everyone on the track with the exception of Huseman!

The Lucas Oil Off Road Series premiere Unlimited Pro 2 races were some of the best in recent memory. Twenty-five trucks took to the track in Saturday’s round one event. Team ReadyLIFT® Racing drivers Rob Naughton, Marty Hart and Jeremy McGrath found the first race of the season to be challenging. After getting punted by Rodrigo Ampudia over the table top jump, Naughton struggled to regain the handle of his ReadyLIFT®/Lucas Oil/Maxxis Tire Ford but did manage to charge forward for a decent finish. Stronghold’s Jeremy McGrath fell victim to being a pinball in the thick herd of impatient mid-pack drivers but defiantly wrestled his Monster Energy/ ReadyLIFT®/Toyo Tires Ford to the checkered flag right behind Naughton for a solid finish. Marty Harts first race behind the wheel of the Monster Energy/ ReadyLIFT® / Maxxis Tire Toyota Tundra Pro 2 was impressive. Marty battled as a serious contender for a podium. But one huge leap over the front stretch jump mortally wounded the truck’s steering and sent Hart to the pits for a suspension band-aid.

Sunday’s Pro 2 event was a complete turn of events. Marty Hart was fastest qualifier but after having to change an engine was sent to the rear of the field for the start. Stronghold teammates Naughton and McGrath started 7th and 8th. When the green flag and dirt flew, Naughton made quick work of getting up to the leaders and battling hard with Carl Renezeder, Brian Deegan and Bryce Menzies. Jeremy “Showtime” McGrath wasn’t far behind. As the laps wound down, the drivers traded paint and changed lines in every turn. Renezeder and Menzies played bumper tag one time too many times and opened the door for a three way battle between Naughton, McGrath and Deegan. With only a few laps to go the question would become, would Naughton get his first ever Pro 2 win? Would Team ReadyLIFT® finish 1st and 2nd? Could Hart running in fifth place catch up and make it a Team ReadyLIFT® podium sweep? To the roar of packed Arizona stands Rob Naughton took the checkered flags and clinched his first ever Unlimited Pro 2 win followed closely by Jeremy McGrath in second! The Stronghold duo were simply far too good and far too fast for the rest of the class elite!

Team ReadyLIFT® racer Cameron Steele debuted his Stronghold Motorsports Monster Energy/ ReadyLIFT®/Yokohama Tire Pro Lite in round one on Saturday. Steele was very competitive in his first ever Pro Lite race until a broken steering pulley hurt his chances for a good finish. The team rallied and fixed the issue before Sunday’s race where Cameron fought through a maze of carnage for a solid 6th place finish. With a little more seat time behind the wheel of the 300 horsepower mini truck you can bet Steele will be challenging guys like Brian Deegan, Chris Brandt and Jimmy Stephensen for the win and championship title!

In Pro Buggy, Stronghold’s Brandon Bailey looked to improve on his 2010 rookie season. The Lamb Energy/ Lucas Oil/ ReadyLIFT®/ Yokohama Tire sponsored Pro Buggy was driven solidly by Bailey but the wrong choice of gearing made it difficult to navigate the track in the same fast time as the leaders, rendering Brandon to an 8th and 9th place finish for the weekend.

Overall the weekend was an epic chronicle of unforeseen up’s and down’s for our teams. The drivers and crews are the best in the business because they stare adversity right back in the face and challenge themselves to overcome whatever obstacles are presented. From everyone at ReadyLIFT® Suspension we would like to congratulate all of our teams for their hard-fought racing efforts in rounds 1 & 2 as well as congratulate Stronghold Motorsports and Rob Naughton for his first ever Pro 2 win. The win was made even sweeter with Jeremy McGrath standing in the second place podium spot along with fellow Monster Energy/ ReadyLIFT® team driver Johnny Greaves earning a solid second place finish in Pro 4! If there was one thing that was boldly obvious on this race weekend, it’s that Team ReadyLIFT® Racing will be a force throughout the season and there is no doubt you will be reading about many more wins!

The next stop for Team ReadyLIFT® will be Rounds 3 and 4 of LOORRS racing at Speedworld Off Road Park in Surprise, Arizona on April 16 and 17. Make plans now to come for the entire weekend and enjoy the wild racing action and get your own autograph and driver swag from all of the Team ReadyLIFT® drivers! Until then, look for coverage from this weekend’s race at Firebird International Raceway on CBS, the Speed Channel, Versus, and MavTV.

The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series is heading to Primm , Nevada for the final event weekend of the series. With all of the expected excitement, there is little doubt the focus will be on Team ReadyLift® Racing’s Rob Naughton who is looking to regain his championship form and take the coveted 2009 Unlimited Lite Championship honors. Rob has 6 wins in 10 races but unfortunately mechanical failure in the last 3 races has left him 3rd in the points behind Brian Deegan and Chris Brandt.

Rob won the first four races of the inaugural Lucas Oil Series while making a bold statement through his winning prowess that he would be the one to beat in 2009. And if it wasn’t for the mechanical failures in the later rounds, Rob would be heading to Primm with a comfortable points lead. Instead Naughton will be looking to try and win his final Unlimited Lite Championship in his last weekend behind the wheel of a Unlimited Lite.

If the pressure of trying to come up with an extraordinary effort in the UL class and win the Lucas Oil Championship isn’t exciting enough, Rob will be making his own personal history in more ways than one. For the first time in his racing career Naughton will debut his new Stronghold Motorsports Unlimited Pro-2 ride courtesy of Stronghold Motorsports, Partners Pro Am Racing and Grabowski Bros. Racing.

The all-new U-2 built by Competitive Performance Fabrications was recently debuted at the recent SEMA show where it was entered in the Sony Gran Turismo competition for best Truck and SUV and was awarded the coveted first place prize. Rob plans on returning to Nevada this weekend and believe the team can be competitive in the new Unlimited Pro 2. In fact, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Team ReadyLift® Racing’s Rob Naughton muscling that new ride towards the lead. If last week’s test session at Primm is any indication of what we can expect to see this weekend, the fans are going to see a great race.

Don’t miss this exciting and memorable weekend where Rob plans on making history in more ways than one in Primm. Trying to win a Unlimited Lite Championship and racing in his first Unlimited Pro-2 all in the same weekend is something Naughton and all of his fans will definitely remember for a long time.
