Vanden Heuvel’s finish the season on top!

Appleton, WI (September 7, 2010) – As the 2010 TRAXXAS TORC Series, Presented by Amsoil season came to an end this weekend, the Vanden Heuvel’s found themselves on top again. Mike Vanden Heuvel takes home the 2010 Limited 2WD Truck Championship and Dan Vanden Heuvel takes the Pro 2WD Win in Round 12.

Mike Vanden Heuvel:

In his rookie season behind the wheel of the No. 299 Flanagan’s Stop-n-Shop sponsored Chevrolet, Mike takes home the Limited 2WD Truck Class Championship. With 7 wins and 10 top 5′s in 12 rounds of racing, this was an incredible season for the young Vanden Heuvel.

“This has been an awesome season for us. Everyone on my crew worked hard all season and we showed them our appreciation by winning the championship for them.” says Mike. “Now its time to go back home and get ready for the Pro’s next year.”

Mike would like to thank all the marketing partners who have helped throughout the 2010 season and look forward to working with them again in 2011.

Dan Vanden Heuvel 2010 Race Winner

Dan Vanden Heuvel:

The 2008 Pro 2WD Class Champion, Dan Vanden Heuvel, went into the final rounds of racing with 4 top 5 finishes and sitting 8^th in the points.

Looking to end the season on a positive note and put the No. 77 Maxxis Tires sponsored Chevrolet back on the podium, the team had the truck ready for the final round of racing action on Sunday. As the green flag flew, Dan took the hole shot and led the field through turn one at the legenday Crandon International Off Road Raceway. Never looking back, Dan dominated the race by leading every lap and taking the win.

“This is the how you end a season.” says Dan after the race. “It’s been a difficult year for us and we’ve had some bad luck. This win really means a lot to me and my crew, especially in front of a huge Crandon crowd.”

“Seeing my dad win today means more to me than anything I’ve accomplished this season.” says Mike Vanden Heuvel. “Everyone has worked hard this year and for them to finally get the win they deserve is awesome.”
