  • i have read many of your posts and you seem pretty knowledgeable with ranger drive train/trans questions ...i recently purchased a 1994 Ranger 4.0 ohv with a C4,35's and best guess is it has 5.13 rear gears at 70mph i'm turning 3400 rpm. curious what your thoughts are if i swapped to a 4.11 which should drop it to 2800 im trying to improve hwy driveability

    Nah I don't know anyone personally. I do know of the guy with a pimped out T100 that went through it successfully. I'll be interested to hear how it goes, since some of the prerunner trucks I'm looking at would be applicable. I've never been much a fan of the 4.0 OHV.
    Good luck getting your SOHC conversion BAR tagged. I'll keep your efforts in my prayers (heheh)

    I looooved the SOHC V6 in my 98 Explorer Sport way more than the 5.0 in my 93 F-150.
