    Who's Working on a Class 8000

I dont post much here, but I do have a build thread in the "Shops", Show & Tell section, under, Doherty Motorsports New Class 8. I would like to post this quick video, of finally firing up my 700 HP SBC, that has been sitting for the last 10, or 11 years. ("sitting" - meaning in & out of a new...

Well after sitting in the shop, on the floor, in the chassis, out of chassis, back in the chassis, and final assembly, SHE'S ALIVE ! Fired her up a week ago. Still have hours of assembly to do, but after 10 years, it was good to hear 700 angry horses out in my garage. This may be one of the most...

A few months ago, I got all fired up, to well, fire it up. But the poor old carb that had been sitting for ten years, leaked. I got the oil system full, oil pressure built, water system full, and the poor carb. leaked everywhere. So I took it to my carb guy (local) and I made the mistake of...

A little cutting, a little bending, a little welding, a little grinding, a little drilling, and after 4 hours, here's the new dash panel. I had moved the shifter forward, as my elbow was hitting the seat. That caused a loss of switch area. Had to build something where the wire connections are...

New fab work. Had to take power steering remote filter to auto parts store to find new oil filter than fits. Existing filter number did not cross in their book, so it was determined that physically checking would be the best / only way.

Only a few hours this weekend, and nothing high-tech, but it all has be done.New light bar mounts on the roof. After spending some time doing final fit on the fiberglass body, I had to figure where / how to mount light. I carefully figured out where to drill, then slot. Then made new patterns...
