Starlink ESIM - Mobile approved by the FCC

Yes, this is what I deduce from reading their FCC filings. Also, the summary I have from an insider is that the Enterprise ESIM is the same relative size of the Business Class Dishy available today.

Great news!! Starlink ESIM - Earth Station In Motion is approved! https://www.fcc.gov/document/ib-grants-spacex-and-kepler-earth-station-motion-authorizations Now I don't have to drive to Baja to test my RCKIT - Race Car Kit. 🙃

Update: The RCKIT tests to bridge engine starts as well as the rest of the DC services is working perfect! These tests include running the small internal Li Batt down to internal shutoff and recovering via the chassis battery bridge. Fun stuff!

All eggzactly!! I tried the 4amp 12-48 up Buck first. It failed. Now using the 8amp. It runs cooler as well. The final RCKIT will tie the Buck case into the Axia Cage mounts for one Beeg Heatsink. BTW, it looks like we confirmed the GPS Receiver obstruction issues today. Now for a few...

Yikes! $$ You have thinking though on the 48v Li bat as the base.

Good point on the 48v. Can buck that down efficiently to 12v for the router too. On charging the Li Batts, the one thing that I need to find a solution around is that almost all Li Batts with BSM want a 14v DC current to start charging. My ICE vehicles do not run up past @13.5v.

Eyeing my Main Pit Kit (MPKIT). This one will have a large Li battery, 120 and 12v power and TP-Link Deco WiFi Mesh. I can simply add more Deco units on 12v to light up a very beeg area. Wifi Password cost Beer.

The RCKIT is doing well. Found one possible glitch today with the new mount. Trying to get answers on where the GPS Receiver is in Dishy. Otherwise, it did very well, too include excessive heat exposure.

Thanks for the kudos. I wish SL would reach out to me. Hell, I am sure I am on their "watch list". As I mentioned, "extensive testing" is needed. Right now, I am seeing the 12v to 48v power supply used for the POE injector as unable to handle half the rated load unless the feed voltage is 14.5...

Making good progress. Extended testing follows. Pic of Dishy tomorrow on new mount. This is the kit intended for in-car, live streaming with multiple, remote controlled cameras.

I was the VP Ops for the first Internet Overlay Co. Back then we did it due to inter-continental network congestion. Now a days, the Starlink Overlay is simply a tech step forward. Ya, the Big Telco"s will/may survive but the field will narrow and so will their profit margins. Their...
