    Telling too much

I really enjoy the inside look into your program. If there's stuff that's not widely known that you don't want to give away, I'm cool with that, but I love hearing about the work behind the scenes and what a regular group of guys who are going racing feel as they go through prep and race...

I am wondEring about the sport....

    1. Electric vehicles are pricey. They are coming on in a big way in race series where there is already a considerable amount of money involved. Short course racing is many things, but overflowing with cash is not one of them. 2. The reason so many race series are going electric is that because...

    Doubt about LOORRS and LucasOilTV

Keegan Kincaid just put his Pro-2 up for sale, so something is changing in his camp. Seems like a move to Pro-4 is logical. Hope it sticks this time.

    LOORRS 2020 Schedule

Wheatland has to be a tough ask for the Midwest teams given that they have Bark River the week before. But it might work for some west coast teams to keep their equipment in the area for the two weeks that they have there. But then, we don't need the whole Midwest to go to Wheatland, just, say...

    Greatest offroad duo ever???

In fairness the thread about what Robby is building is pretty much about anything BUT Robby Gordon and what he’s building.

    Greatest offroad duo ever???

How common is it for a driver with his own fully-financed ride to jump ship and drive for another team? They’re both Red Bull, so maybe this is as simple as Bryce liking his chances with Andy’s starting position and Andy as his co-driver, but this still seems weird given everything Bryce has...

    Doubt about LOORRS and LucasOilTV

Not bad so far. The early Crandon date remains, suggesting at least an olive branch of an opportunity for teams to race at Wheatland if that race is back on the weekend it was on last year. I'm not strongly inclined to be either positive or negative about ISOC--we've seen so many sanctioning...

    Doubt about LOORRS and LucasOilTV

Has live TV ever been done successfully for off road racing? Like, ever? Even in the old MTEG days the tv broadcasts were delayed and edited for TV. The problem is that the races are short sprints interspersed with long breaks for track grooming. Not infrequently a crash will delay the race...

    Doubt about LOORRS and LucasOilTV

That’s true of all racing, and has been for a long time. Even “stock” classes of racing aren’t stock at all. Indycar is adopting hybrids soon because the manufacturers want them. Not because the hybrids resemble anything they actually produce—the system will be spec produced for the series—but...

    Doubt about LOORRS and LucasOilTV

Appreciate your insight in various aspects of the thread. I don't get the Friday-Saturday either, and I'm saying this as someone who benefits from it greatly: Friday works much better for my schedule, and I'm a pastor, so I can never attend a Sunday race. I'm thrilled to go on Friday and do so...

    What is Robby building?

The video suggests that the rear profile of his truck is largely unchanged from previous editions. It is conceivable that someone could try to install a ground-effect profile on the underside of the truck, but the benefit of that is questionable and the dust plume in the video indicates that...

    Doubt about LOORRS and LucasOilTV

What's the right balance here? Several of the sport's biggest stars and supporters (Kyle Leduc trucks dot fields in both regions, and the Greaves boys run not only their own trucks but a third pro 4 in the Midwest to help keep the field viable) run and enjoy pro-4. They are as spectacular as any...

    Doubt about LOORRS and LucasOilTV

There's really nothing stopping either the Greaves or Leduc/Anderson/Mittag from running full schedules in both series, except that there either isn't the money or they don't see the need. As it is Anderson ran half the Midwest schedule, since half the schedule was the two Crandon weekends...

    What is Robby building?

That hood might control air some, but it isn't sending air over the cab. I could see it reducing airflow disruption, but I doubt that smoothing airflow is the primary purpose. Maaaaybe downforce? That looks like it's designed to draw air through a small radiator assembly in the front.

    Doubt about LOORRS and LucasOilTV

Can't imagine Lucas would walk back their commitment to the new Pro-2 ruleset. It's good for both series and the reason they didn't move to it whole hog, as I understood it, was to allow teams that have equipment that fits the existing rules to use that. Teams have been planning for that move...

    Doubt about LOORRS and LucasOilTV

People who have heard rumors of a new sanctioning body seem optimistic. I hope whomever it is is in this to take the racing seriously. Certain bodies have a lot of gravity but a series like this could become a rump series with little attention, as it has been with others. Re: cities — to get...

    Doubt about LOORRS and LucasOilTV

It's a positive to fans who want to continue to watch races and have a series to follow. I understand where DailyPedal is coming from here. It would be great to hear a long-term solution, preferably with a title sponsor contract. The Lucas Midwest League announcement was more of a band-aid...

2019 Baja 400 Incar Camera (4 Hours of Footage!)

Really enjoyed this, thanks for posting it. I appreciate teams that post significant video footage a great deal.

    BITD 6100 rules for 2020....

It encourages me far more than it should that, were I ever to get the opportunity to do so, I could fold my 6'5 body into a spec TT and actually fit. Do I recall correctly that 6100 has a different width max than Score TT spec?

    What is Robby building?

Off Road racing is just brutally hard to produce live. Baja is extra hard because cell coverage is so sparse, so "cheap" options aren't really available. Short course is tough live because there are so many breaks between races. Baja is hard because it is remote, it is long, and it covers tons...
