    What is Robby building?

I think it is a bit early to mail it in on the "Unicorn", but folks in the RGM camp cannot be thrilled with 4th against a bunch of 2WD trucks. Especially when RG is usually very strong when qualifying this truck in its 2wd configuration. With all of the hype RGM drummed up with this truck up to...

    What is Robby building?

Without a doubt... The more air, the easier the air can pass through the cooler, the more efficient the cooler can be. But the truck is 16 years old and has never had the duct before. Nor do the other trucks have it....Makes you wonder if there is an aerodynamic component to this as well or if...

They were using this duct way before the Ferrari Pista….Try the Ford/Shelby GT 40's in the mid 60's. Not sure if they were used prior.

    What is Robby building?

Well, it doesn't look untested there... Any race, but especially the 1000 will be a tough race to win right out of the box with what is essentially a new truck (I know it isn't). But it sure looks like it is working well in the vids.

    What is Robby building?

Was thinking the offset rims help to reduce the articulation of the half-shafts during suspension travel. The longer the half shaft, the less articulation it will have if suspension travel is a constant. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the shorter the shaft, the more it will articulate. But...

    The "Official" Dakar 2020 Thread

Funny you brought up the modularity of it......When he was talking about the IRS being better in the sand and the solid axle being better on the gravel roads (I know results may say otherwise), what if he were to make 2 different clips and swap back and forth based on the stage.....…...INSANE...

    ★ Dakar 2019 - Stage 10: Pisco > Lima

Opinions are like a-holes, everybody has one. I was talking about this at the beginning of the rally. Bottom line, it could be done. The question is, does it make more sense to cut it up and make those changes to it or are they better off to just start from scratch or do they use another machine...

    The "Official" Dakar 2020 Thread

I don't know if RG himself would race them again, especially in the car class. It would not surprise me though if he brought some SXS and drivers to race them in the SXS Class/s and supported them as a team. I really hope he is able to develop a real car which is able to compete again...
