You might want to check out VORRA. I used to race the series and it's a fun family style group, and entry fees are real reasonable.

Check your seat fit before you weld! I had the same thing going and had to cut it out and start over. The top of your seats will hit the brace.

I'm moving forward again. After the transmission imploded last weekend I took it out and back to the shop for a free repair. Thanks John at Certified Transmission for being a real stand up guy and taking care of it.
