Any rumors on San Felipe 250

I know what you are implying and yes the Stella will confirm with a beep, but it will not show you where the course is or VCPs are, like a GPS does. There are a lot of whooped out parallel lines in the SF area. You can easily be off course and miss a VCP by 120' if you can't see the course...

I cant imagine starting SCORE race without one. GPS's play a critical role in locating VCPs. Gone are the good ol' days of just racing from checkpoint to checkpoint.

You are right, it doesn't really hurt anything. unless of course, you are relying on those markers being there to guide you on raceday.

Any rumors on San Felipe 250

I think physically marking the VCPs is waste of time and resources. For whatever advantage for some will be equally disadvantageous for others. I was opposed to this idea but SCORE wanted to try it for some reason. The pluses: you don't have to have a gps on your prerunner. You don't have to...

Limit the amount of riders per team @ SCORE?

yep, no kidding, racing Baja should be a grueling marathon of an accomplishment, not some 100 yard dash that any dickweed can do. I am guilty of being on multi rider teams from the years 2006 through 2018, but I have also raced in the 1970's, when men were men and we were only allowed 2 riders...

Limit the amount of riders per team @ SCORE?

yep. until the entry fees can be reduced for motos, too many ppl complained that they need large teams to share expenses.

Can you though? You can buy and prep a race bike for $15k. Now I don't own a SXS but I would guess it would take close to $50k to buy and prep one. It is sad to see the bike entries dwindle like that.

Any rumors on San Felipe 250

It depends on what caliber of rider and class they are in. Top pros can average 50+ mph during the race or the 40 or 50 class guys maybe average 38-40 mph, so prurunning I'd say 25-30 would be practical.

. Here is the rest of that article and the keyword here is “extension” of what has been in place since March 2020. I have been to Baja 13 times since last March. There was a time when it was more restrictive where they had COVID checkpoints called filters, but those were short lived. However, it...

San Felipe is really hurting economically. I have never seen it so deserted. When you guys come down to El Dorado for the race, be sure to go into the town and spend your money!! y!

We rode up the pavement on zoo road where the course usually crosses, but did not see any evidence of grading there yet.
