not to get off topic but anytime we weld on our class 10 we unplug the ecm and where it’s mounted it can’t be contacted by the pulse of the welder. Heard too many expensive horror stories about welding on cars without doing that and causes all kinds of issues
Here’s a question for you fellow class 10 racers. Who runs e85 and what are you seeing in differences, wear on the motor, gas mileage, power differences? Can that sane power gap be bridged by running like say vp110 or a higher octane?
We haven’t ran the 11.50 yet but we have tried some other options and went back to the 10.50 always had plenty of traction and all my flats were earned. For us the lightweight of the tire makes a big deal for us. I’m sure we’ll try the 11.50 at some point but for now it’s 10.50 all the way.
We have a mid engine class 10 and she’s loud I have to run eat cups and ear buds to be able to hear. The ear cups are super comfortable though because they create like a pocket around your so the earbud isn’t being smashed into your ear. I vote for ear cups most comfortable thing you can run.
It’s definitely a learning curve I went from hardly knowing my 1600 to prepping everything in house minus motor shocks and trans. From a good deal to bad deal aspect whatever area your in I’m sure there’s a racer or known Oreo guy who could check out the car for you so you know what your getting...
Funny how this thread seems to pop up every couple months but I will attest to the 1600 class. The cars are fast enough to have a blast and getting to a point where your driving a 1600 car fast and what makes them keep going forward teaches you a lot about how to be a good racer. I started in...
We were having issues in the class 10 with fuel pick up after the tank was under 19 gallons. Once we changed everything in America we pulled the cell and changed the foam and added the hydro mats 2 of them since my car had 2 pick ups and never had the issue again
Essentially what you missed what was the usual banter amongst key board racers wondering we’re going to do when the 2.4 isn’t available, and a new 10 car built running tensor 37’s other then that, that’s about it.
