    Class 7/7200 Subaru Forester

"Random question: why does everyone make their control arms with the heim pointing straight out, and either having tubing notched into another like the dotted lines in the pic below, or a bent piece like i'd do, instead of mounting the heim like it is on the right side, where a straight piece...

    Bronco 2 prerunner

Cutting and turning your beams will let you run a taller spring/shock, and gain bump travel, without having to run drop brackets on your suspension mounts. You are essentially cutting the beam and moving the lower steering knuckle mount outwards to adjust your camber. Fox doesn't make a "kit" so...

Couple prerunner questions for newbie. Wichtruck would you rather have?

"Good steering" is all in the design. If designed correctly both should work well. If trying to build A arm's off a factory vehicle, the steering rack can be a weak link. If building equal length beams, you will need cross over steering to eliminate bumpsteer and work correctly.

    F-250 Front Fiberglass Fenders

Most of the glass will have a more generous wheel well opening in addition to the flare. A 305/70/16 will probably look small with fiberglass. Just something to keep in mind. Sorry I don't have any pics to actually give you what you are looking for!

Couple prerunner questions for newbie. Wichtruck would you rather have?

Don't shoot for just a large number...quality will beat quantity. Equal length beams should pull 20-22" of travel, but you need to take into account things like tire size, components on the firewall and fenders, your steering, and now you are getting away from "bolt-on" components and are...

Couple prerunner questions for newbie. Wichtruck would you rather have?

I assume you are asking 2wd (I beam) or 4wd (TTB)? I would go 4wd, or TTB. You won't gain much going 2wd unless you go equal length beams, and 4WD is really nice to have.

Couple prerunner questions for newbie. Wichtruck would you rather have?

Bronco, 16" of travel is attainable front and rear and is reasonably affordable with 4 wheel drive. 351W, caged, with some mild glass and 35's. Mild motor mods to bump power but keep it reliable. Save the Raptor look for the Raptors.

    Major ranger rewiring question

I have a 71 Bronco running a 5.0 EFI V8 out of a 97 (i think) Explorer. I am running the stock computer, and stripped the harness down to just what the motor needs to run, since I no longer am using an electronic trans or any of the creature comforts. The PATS system would be the only unknown...
