    ★ Dakar 2019 - Stage 10: Pisco > Lima

True and when the race was in Africa the support vehicles that traveled from bivouac to bivouac were all large 4X and 6X euro style large trucks. The “assistance route” between bivouacs had tons of dirt sections so a standard US style semi rig wouldn’t have cut it, no motorhomes either. RG is...

    ★ Dakar 2019 - Stage4: Arequipa > Tacna

Yes the amount of effort, experience, along with having the systems in place is huge, many years in the making. So fun to follow this race when the USA is well represented. Great job to RB and JCR Honda on the win today and overall lead in the moto’s. :)

Best Dakar I have seen yet

^^^Yes^^^ Remembering back to Africa in 2007 I would say the dune routes of Peru are more difficult and problematic for sure. Some of the routes (Cap Headings) over the dunes in Africa are used by local inhabitants to some degree so there seemed to be more of a method to the madness with less...

There’s going to be a lot of this on the front half of the rally, so glad the ASO raised the bar back up this year! The altitude is going to kick butt on the teams as well… :)

Having grown up racing Baja in the early 1980’s I got to know Bob quite well, so much so it was “Bob do you copy this is Will.” Thank you to the entire PCI and Steinberger family for all the help over the years along with sharing the icon known as the Weatherman with all of us. All happy and...

Final thoughts and thanks DAKAR 2017

MCH always does an awesome job! Brutal year on the support crews for sure, cold and dry are one thing but cold and water logged are another and then there is the altitude. :(
