I’m building a 03 chevy Silverado prerunner and need some insight on what rear end to run. Have been doing a lot of research and haven’t found much. Any suggestions?

Well my friend, it is all about how much money you have and how much of the work you can do your self. Obviously the best is a custom Ford 9" or 10" rear end, but you will spend $7,000 to $25k. I would look for a good used one. problem with Chevy and Dodge rear ends is that most use C clips to hold the axles in place and that is no good for Off-Road. You can get a Dana 60 but they are heavy and if you have to pay someone to rebuild, add locker and truss. You would be better off buying a Ford 9". I assume you are on a budget. I would get a Ford 9" with spool and 35 spline axles from Currie geared at 5.00" Still will cost you around 5-6K but it will save you the headache and work for years to come.
