Congrats! I used to go visit that museum each year when I was in town in January for the SCORE race.

Thanks Todd. Just watched the Hagerty Big Oly video. Very nice! A deceased friend of mine Dennis Harris raced a Stoppe Bronco in the late 60s and early 70s. It was pictured on Stroppes transporter in Dirtsorts some years ago.

Glad you liked it - thanks! I never got to meet Dennis but my good friend Andrew Norton (bajabronco) met him a time or two before he passed away. We have lots of pics of his truck!

Dennis lived here in the Sacramento area and and owned Chassis Works, a off road fab shop. He built and raced a class 8 truck in VORRA, some SCORE and HDRA. When we had our buggy shop in Loomis CA Dennis bought parts from us.

Denny Harris. At least that is what I always remember Garvin calling him. (wasn't that the announcer's name that called the finish line for VORRA?)

Garland Dyke was the early announcer for the VORRA races. He passed away a couple years ago. He may have called Dennis Denny.

80s and 90s. When I could afford it. I was young back then. It's weird, I thought racing was expensive back then when I wasn't making nearly what I made later in life, but racing seems more expensive now than it did back then! I lived in Santa Cruz, so VORRA was close (relatively) for us to go to races.
