I just picked up this vintage racer for the NORRA Mexican 1000 next year. Don't know much about the history of this Bronco but was told by a previous owner that it was purchased new in 1969 and went straight to a builder and raced the 1000 in 1970 - not much to go on. It has some interesting work on it.

Nice truck! I looked at the 1970 photos on Trackside Photos and there is one Bronco with a similar grill but a lot of other differences.

No fair...your's has four shocks per corner and mine only has three! ;)

Reminds me of an old Joke :) How many titts does a cow have? (four) How many titts does your wife have? (two) Which one give you the better ride?

Ramsey, you are going to love the strategy involved in rally stage racing. Staging decisions can make or break your race. It's all just in fun, but hey you are on the clock and those other dudes need to be beaten!

Can't wait to see your new ride.

Is that the same Bronco in the link that Ramsey bought? He sent me these pics. He has not picked it up yet.

Ed, thanks for the great information!

I'm really excited about this Bronco. My very first 4X4 was a '67 Sport Utility (Half Cab) back in '73 and I have owned a couple of dozen since then but it has been 25 years since I had my last EB. I had been looking for a daily driver EB for my wife and tripped across this vintage racer and couldn't pass it up.

We've got a team all lined up for 2014 NORRA Mexican 1000 and will have a blast!
