the pre 97 tacos and t1's computer doesnt support supercharging very well
because of the MAF cant adjust itself to such pressure
ive got the thing installed everything is fine

it says in the manual 1996 models have a hard time adjusting to superchargers
so i got the

split second psc1-003 signal modifier for the MAF

my question is to anyone on here

has anyone ever used this to recalibrate their MAF and does it do it automatically

somebody in another forum said once you wire it in direct mode
it tricks the ECM and lets the computer recalibrate for the bigger injectors and supercharger
(a piggy back ecu basically)

i know its tunable with a laptop
and ive heard its pretty simple

but i was wondering if anyone has used one of these when supercharging pre 97 3.4v6

i reset the stock ecu and drove to see if it would recalibrate
and when i first started the truck it sputtered and ran funny
and after a few seconds it ran perfect

durring acceleration it loses boost at mid rpm and sometimes u can hear the exhaust blow off real bad
its the computer i know it is because when its not under load it revs and spools the supercharger and runs PERFECT

any info would be great!!!!!

this is beggining to be quite the task!

thanks

Subscribed: If I ever get mine sorted I'll let you know. I'm trying to get an AEM piggyback computer to work on a '96 5vz, TRD S/C, with bigger injectors, big fuel pump, headers and URD pulley.

ya i got 370 cc injectors

a smaller pulley for the s upercharger and its also a 96

would anybody happen to have a stock fuel map for a sr5 tacoma with the supercharger??

i could just run that with the split second psc1-003 MAF signal modifier and program with the laptop to adjust for the larger injectors and it would make everything so much easier!

This guy has done more with the 3.4's than just about anyone. He went through the split second unit and a bunch of others. this is what he came up with.
