Troy Herbst took home the gold for this year's race with an overall win in the class 1 Smithbuilt truggy..Brian Coats beat the Ironman by 6 minutes in Trophy trucks. This was the second race for Ivan's new V-8 in the Toyota, fresh off a win at the Baja 500 with the new power plant.

Ryan Thomas gave Dodge their first victory in the Pro Truck class,having beat not only his class competitors, but also some Trophy trucks in the Chenowth sponsored Dodge with a 10th overall finish!

Thanks! I found it a lot easier to keep a steady picture with the old "shoulder mounted" camera than the little handheld cams they have now. The picture is slightly degraded in the videos, but the old Quasar made a really clear picture in its time.I still have it, but the battery charger went bad on me back in about '98.

The amount and the speed of the Protrucks is impressive. Watching them in this video made me rethink my views.
