Evanston, IL (April 17, 2009) - Phil’s Inc. is proud to post contingency awards for the nationwide TORC (The Off-Road Championship) series and the regional MAORA (Mid-America Off-Road Association) series.

The Traxxas TORC presented by AMSOIL series consists of Professional and Sportsman divisions completing at permanent facilities in Wisconsin, Michigan, Texas, California, and Nevada. The race season runs from May through November.

The Lucas Oil – Howard Packaging sponsored MAORA series has off-road trucks and buggies competing in both short course events and longer enduro events in Illinois, Indiana, and Missouri. The race season runs from May through October.

Both race series represent some of the finest race teams at both the Professional and Sportsman level. You can find well known names like Taylor, Douglas, Steinhardt, Konitzer, Scherer, and Welch competing in either series. The 40th anniversary celebration of off-road racing in Crandon, Wisconsin is the premier stop on the 2009 TORC race schedule. The MAORA series has its own iconic race venue, the Lincoln Trail Motorsports Park in Casey, Illinois. The MAORA group has been hosting events at Lincoln Trail for over thirty years.

“Phil’s Inc. wants to reward those that support our company,” states Mike Reusche, president Phil’s Inc. “The off-road market continues to grow for our business, despite the state of our economy. The more stringent safety requirements have seen our business really take off. The replacement of harnesses, helmets, as well as the need for neck restraint systems, created a whole new market for Phil’s Inc. Yes, the price of safety can be expensive, but our motto has always been, “Race on Sunday, Back to Work on Monday!”

The Phil’s Inc. TORC contingency program consists of a $50 Parts Certificate for third place finishers at every round of racing for all PRO and Sportsman categories.

The Phil’s Inc. MAORA contingency program consists of a $25 Parts Certificate for third place finishers at every round in the short course series. It also includes a $100 cash award for the racer with the highest points total for the year, in the short course series.
