Prerunning starts this weekend. Share your stories, thoughts on the course and pictures you take. Also what sections you are running if teaming up with others. Are you preparing for high temps for this course layout? Have fun and be safe.

**Note from SCORE
THE COURSE IS NOT OPEN FOR PRE-RUNNING UNTIL MAY 21st! Safety is paramount, as SCORE course marking teams will be working and land owners are not expecting pre-running thru their properties until the 21st.

Please respect Baja and the generous people who allow us to race in their beautiful country. Any racers caught pre-running prior to May 21st risk the chance of not being able to participate in the event."

Just got back from doing Ojos to San Felipe. Lots of new stuff and very fun. Ojos to K78 lots of new sections that don't know if we have ran before. Then cross highway do stadium section turn North and come to Summit new way. Clmb up Summit not to bad. Coming down some major stair step drops due to rain. "Use Caution" drop into wash very technical be careful on blind turns as you could clip rock or tree. Lake bed wet stay on hard pack. Coming into Borrego nastier each year, cross hghway left of normal and take wash East fast and fun for about 7 mile then turns rough and doesn't stop. Old Zoo Road next to power lines to San Felipe. GET ME OUT NOW! Lots of fun new stuff.

Jim summed it up^^^

Very green everywhere, no water really though. Summit should be interesting and congested as always. It was actually pretty cold and windy at the top. Didn't get to do SF to the finish but heard pretty rough until San Matias.

Be aware of loose cattle right after entering the Cohabuzo wash; we saw 2 but there might be a lot more roaming around.

we preran from rm 160 ish to rm 440. mikes mini loop was fast and fun. goat trail to rm 390 was fun just watch out for cattle during prerun. km 77 to rm 440 was fast until tres hermanos then got very technical, lots of offcamber downhill or uphills, and very rocky sections.
bad thing was course was missing in my opinion caution markers and dangers and turns. Spoke with 2 different bike guys that got lost.

There was 1 rancher before the summit who was pissed, stood in front of his locked gate saying someone didn't close it and his cows got out. Not sure if anyone else saw him? He ended up opening the gate but not happy about it. Seems like the Cohabuzo wash got a little more technical. Definitely came into a couple corners too hot, RIP mirrors...

There was one big, precariously placed orange boulder too, it will claim someone either prerunning or in the race I have a feeling. hard to miss it.

We preran RM100-RM165, didn't see any ranchers but the one right before descending to Cohabuzo, with the horses, we just went by easy and said hello, he waved back.

We were passed by 4 4-seaters, Robbie Pierce, Bebo with the other prerunner, saw a handlebar that broke down in RM140 right before his chaser got to him, and Meño from Baja Pits getting back to RM165.

Just ran RM40 to RM225 twice. Corse was tough at Borrego, from 185 to 205 Brutal Wooped out granite! Everything else was fast and fun but tons of overgrowth.
