Yes, that’s how I got my start. Racing VORRA in northern NV and MDR in Lucerne and Barstow in the 90’s. Camping in the desert with friends. Then camping in Baja with the Locos Mocos crew in hard to get to spots on the course. Good times. But I’ll also admit that staying in a casino or hotel is fun also. Definitely still mix it up with a bit of both.
Yeah, but Curtis, back then a room was 19 bucks Su-Th. and 29 bucks Fri and Sat. And you could eat all you could eat for 3.99 at Circus Circus or the Riverside Buffets!

Why can KOH give TT drivers a 100k payday and have excellent internet coverage fot TT's and rock crawlers? I think both races were established at the same time??? KOH can do all this in the middle of the desert!! Mint is still using the brick trackers!! How does that help racers? Racing Trax is the bomb!! How many races do Martellis do....2...and 1 is UTV in Laughlin just like BITD. Just saying!!!
You really confuse me...

KOH charges 5000 per entry and a 100,000.00 winner take all with a sponsor writing the check.

The coverage that the Mint is live streaming is very similar to what KOH is producing complete with Helicopter, Drone and multiple fixed locations live streaming. They are adding live stream for Qualifying this year as well.

KOH is using the exact same tracking system as the Mint is using. Exact. Like taking them off those vehicles and bringing them here. Just as they did last year.

The UTV World Championship isn’t in Laughlin this year. And will turn some heads with what they have planned.

The Martelli’s and their entire team are putting on an incredible event, not just a race. There are some that just want to race. And that is good for them. There is a reason that The Mint 400 grew to what it has become. It is an Event.

Exactly why I have plans to come to the race. It's a prestigious event that has a lot of fun things leading up to the race.

Hey Mike!

Brad has entered us in the Mint so we will be there in the 6138 Amsoil Truck! Come out and race!

I don’t know how the YB worked well at KOH. It was complete mess at last years Mint. I experienced that mess first hand.

I am not complaining about the Mint. I have respect for Martelli’s and I believe they do some great stuff.

It’s funny how some cost are OK and others piss me off. I think most people are ok with most of the cost. It’s the nickel and dim crap that’s annoying.

We may still race the Mint. If the field is smaller and we think we have a chance of winning we will step up.

Here’s what I know...the registration lounge looks rad. And the start/finish set up will be awesome, Cooler than it’s ever been. And the parade is going to be awesome tomorrow.

What A Joke
Has anyone looked at the official gps file? There are “D”s added on the gpx, assuming those mean danger?
I looked real quick today and it looks like its mostly sharp turns that are marked D. Definitely not a lot of stuff marked. I would suggest getting a file from someone whos raced it recently who might have marked more dangers and stuff during their race.

its a rule that all past overall winners of the mint have to give out there gps files so if you contact mad media you can request files from rob Mac, Bryce, and Justin loftin. There is no charge. Super helpful.
