There's been little to no talk about it on here in bikes or pavement racing. Thought I'd get one started or be directed to the right place. But apparently there isn't one? Motogp, in my opinion is one of the best, televised events, to watch. Bikes are on the level of F1 as far as technology, racing is super aggressive, especially the last 10 laps or so, and just all around amazing when you consider all the things that make "televised" racing worth watching. Been hooked for years, bummed the past couple years about the blackout.

Yes that the world I came from I have raced AMA Superbike, IOMTT etc....Bikes even at the superbike level have waaayyy more tech than these trucks lol

Just watched a recap of the Spanish GP at Jerez and on one clip, Miller, Marquez and Espargaro were dicing for 3rd when I saw Marquez low side...then they cut the feed and he only dropped to 5th...I said, WHA ? He freakin pulled that off?

Love the current MotoGP...
Going to COTA next year.

This season, and last for that matter with Marquez having been injured, has been great racing. So many guys able to compete for the podium, rather than just expecting Marquez (or previously rossi) to show up and win every weekend.

My son and I were just talking about going to cota next year too.

Love watching it, the racing this year has been really good so far. Cool to see an American win the Moto 2 class even though the leaders crashed out due to the rain in that corner.

We visited the Isle of Man for the TT and rode the Snaefel Mountain Course at speed.

We even looked into getting a retirement visa to move there.

I looked into getting a Mountain License and submitting a resume to race in the TT, but it's quite a process, and I'm getting old.

Congrats on your accomplishments.

Thanks, getting to the TT is hard many people in Desert Racing have no idea what it takes to get there..I am watching the graduated licensing discussion closely and wondering about that..

Seeing Joey's statue above the Bungalow Curves was moving. We visited Northern Ireland on the same trip, but did not make it to Ballymoney.

That dude was so badass.

IoM is also on the bucket list.
Met a guy in a bar that told me he was from there...I called BS...he then pulled out a coin from there and gave it to me...never knew it had its own govt before that.

Yeah, and they are proud of their sovereignty.

The Manx pound is tied to the British pound 1:1.

They were really nice people- our first Sunday there, some folks we met at church offered to loan us their car for the two weeks we'd be there, about five minutes after meeting them. As we walked out after the service, an off-duty cop asked us if we'd seen the course yet. We hadn't, so he spent the next hour or so driving us around the course, pointing out all the interesting points along the way.

Does anyone know the tie between Offroad racing and the IOM?

Oh and I will make anyone a promise. If you go to the IOMTT and watch and do not have a WTF am I really watching this moment then send me your receipts for the trip and I will reimburse you...

I have been making that promise for 12 years now.......Still have not paid anyone.....lol
