33x12.5\'s 10.5\'s

I've seen a lot of rangers running 33x10.50's...any specific reasons for this...is it just an easier fit? any other advantages...wouldn't wider be better traction? just curious, I need a new set of 33's and was looking for some insight.

thanks, J

Re: 33x12.5\'s 10.5\'s

I have 33x10.5 up front and 33x12.5 in rear. 10.5 in the rear dont work well in sand (BFG muds anyways) The 12.5 dont work so well in the front of I beam trucks unless they are wider beams or 4wd. My 10.5s rub coilbucket and radius arm so no wayam I putting them in the front.

The 10.5 is also easyer on the highway getting there, they seem to not grab the lines on the road, so it will continue going straight with less input in the steering wheel. They are also easyer on the brakes with less rolling mass. And they do fit in a smaller area.
