4runner question

Ok so I have a 87 4runner 4x4 that has some motor issues and I have a 00 4runner 2wd that has some drive train issues. I know I could put the 00 4runner motor in the 87 but could I put the 87 drive train into the 00 to make it 4x4?

Well you could................ but it just depends on how much work you want to do. Besides your 87 is a 4cyl and MOST likely your 00 is a 3.4L so the 4cyl would not really hold up to the HP of the 4cyl. I could put together a 4X4 change over for you if you like(thats actually out of a 98-02 4RUNNER) and let you know a price? Let me know. Nick:)

The drive shaft had a rear u joint failure. Other then that it is fine. The 87 is most likely already spoken for and I was going to ask $4500 obo for the 2000
