NEW SxS classes and rules!!! Pay attention!!!!!
The racers asked for it and were giving it to you! Two new classes for 2022!!! We also have changed our numbering system a bit, as well as added a very important safety modification.
Firstly, we will no longer be allowing opening doors of any kind in any of our SxS classes. SxS’s are race vehicles capable of speeds in excess of 90 MPH, opening doors do not offer appropriate roll over protection or side impact protection. SNORE has always been an industry leader in all safety aspects of off-road desert racing. We were the first desert racing organization to mandate head and neck restraints and we are the first desert organization to outlaw opening doors. We will allow a grace period of 60 days to make the changes. This means you will not be allowed to race Battle at Primm with opening doors. We have had much debate and consideration with making this change. We have met with Best in the Desert and you should expect to see a similar rule coming from them for their pro classes as well. We never want to see anyone get hurt and safety will always be a top priority for SNORE.
Below you will find the new numbering systems for our SxS classes.
New Unlimited SxS class - New number system 2900-2999.
Maximum N/A displacement of 2000cc.
Maximum turbo displacement of 1200cc.
UTV, motorcycle engines only.
New RS1 UTV class -New number system 5900-5999.
Existing production turbo - New number system T800-T999.
Existing NA - number system 1900-1999.
Existing sportsmen’s class - number system 3900-3999. THIS CLASS is not a Stock SXS class same rules as the Pro Classes
In all SXS classes you must Run 2 seats and 2 Racers ..
We will allow ADA modifications with Race Director approval
We are also changing some width and tire current rules to upsize those dimensions
We will be requiring all Racers to Register as Members and Contact Mike to reserve all race numbers..As we are flushing out all old numbers

Ist Snore 250 , this car had an 85inch wheelbase , bus front end and bus awing axle , 36 HP and a 35 gallon drum for a gas tank

you mean its a shame we cant race over there due to critical tortoise habitat, that became over populated so they rounded up the females and began spaying them? that side is what you are referring to?

In the early 80s there was a pink Baja class 11 driven by a woman , it had tassel like pasties swinging from the headlights and I remember the name of the car was ” the boobie bouncer” . At like ten years old I was loving that car and I can’t find any of my old pictures of it .

That car was talked about recently on the book of face. The girl who drove was telling the story. Her father, her, and her brother all raced Snore in different classes. She posted a picture of the Class 11 Baja Bug that she raced as the Booby Bouncer. She said when her father raced it, it had a different name, but when she started driving it, she changed it. Can't remember which page it was on, but if I stumble across it, I will let you know who she was.
