Hello. My name is Chris Sullivan. I've been around off road racing for a while since my brother Steve got me into it several years ago. Up till now my favorite times were at the NORRA 1000 with my trusty #332 68 Bronco.
After rolling it on the way to Cabo and then selling it to the Lovell boys I've been out of the game.
I finally found another cool truck to build and now I'm working toward the NORRA 500 this fall. In my own small way to try to give something back, I decided I'd like to use the race effort to generate awareness and donations to the Navy Seal Foundation. Since my brother in law was a Commander in the Seals, the effort is a good fit for me and my family/team. I'll post pictures along the way.

I've got the cage mostly complete and just need a few more gussets, etc.

Progress on the engine cage his weekend. I don't know what's with the rain in San Diego in May but it's putting a dampener on progress.

Thanks for that. Yeah it's going to be great to be back in the saddle. I spent the last several days working on the truck and made some good progress. Fuel cell mounted, bed widened, and mocked up rear shock mounts. I got the front lower shock mounts on one beam. A big thanks to Mark Stahl for all his help and the use of his secret tool for shock mounts. The geometry on the front suspension is way more complex than it appears. Yo definitely have to watch clearance for the tires and shocks at full bump while also clearing the coil buckets. This all has to happen while keeping heims in good alignment. I'm learning more than I thought I would on this one.

Looking Great! We held our breath a bit this year on our "new" build but with some advice and help from some racing veterans it turned out great as I am sure yours will. Looking forward to seeing it in action!

Hey Chris nice choice, that's going to be a very cool truck. There is a '66 F100 for sale up here in Chico. I've thought what a great truck to build for NORRA. Or a very cool street rod. It's in great shape, not sure of any title issues.

Thanks. I definitely think 66 is a cool year. I was born in 66 too, so that helps. If you get the truck and need any stock parts I have a bunch of stuff. Trim, etc.

Well, I got my lower shock mounts on and then I had to go to Montreal for a week of work. I got a few things done this weekend. Installed the beams and working on how to install upper mounts. I decided to get the front cage braced up and go from there.

Rob. Great to meet you. Here's one of the front cage. I finally got the shock mounts all squared away. The radiator goes in tomorrow.

I got the frame to cab cage mounts done, painted the inside of the cab, most of the rear cage done, although I'm not that happy about it yet, rear number mounted....

Rear cage pretty much done. A couple of bolt on cross members and I'll go with it and see what happens. Time is getting short for the NORRA 500 so I need to finalize all Fab an get to testing soon.
