I've read the rule books and looked on the forums but can anyone tell me what is the best way to construct a B-Pillar is. I've seen one method that is in two halves that start at the frame and go up through the cab and joins the other half at the roof centerline where it is butt welded. Another method is a continuous tube from one side of the cab accross the roof to the other side of the cab both connecting to the floor with plates that go on th connect to the frame. I know there is some rules mentioned about having a plate on either side of the floorpan with bolts and maybe a slug. But which is a better accepted method that will pass a tech inspection?

This is for an 86 Toyota buildup.

Any suggestions would be appreciated....
Thanks

Personally I would go with the single hoop from side to side with doubler plates that tie into the frame underneath the cab. Try to stay away from spliceing the tube togehter at the centerline of the roof, that creates a weak point.
