a-arm traction bars

Well-Known Member
I keep seeing newer fords and chevys running around with traction bars hooked to the back side of the lower control arm is there some purpose for this or is it another bolt on DISCO item cause to me its pretty funny. Plus it looks like it would bind up as the truck cycled its travel, there and no heims on them only bushings.

Mike you are seeing them a lot now because of the RCD 2 wheel drive lift is the same as the 4x4 it relocates everything with drop down brackets, The bars you are seeing that almost look like torsion bars are there to support the lower drop down bracket, it is very popular lift with it keeping the factory ride. I am sure you guys will be installing them soon. They are getting more and more popular.
