Aircraft intercoms work with two principels that do not apply to offroad racing. #1 Noise reduction headsets that block out 24+ DB of outside noise, helmets do not block out outside noise(ie not enough volume). #2 A windscreen so there is no windnoise. You can get away with a aircraft intercom in a prerunner with a windshield with headsets, but the specs of the mikes and speakers differ from the standard PCI wiring. My advice to you is look what is used in most of the cars out there and stick with the Com VI in the race car. We will have a new Com VII in the near future with some added features including Sat phone hook up. For the prerunners we offer a 4-link that has a squelch control and we carry headsets in 7 different colors including carbon fiber and chrome. Good luck.
