I was asked to post this for my good friends. Just wanted to say Thanks to all who helped saved my bro's life. Thanks again to "The Eddy gang"! You guys rocked that day. And even rockin harder now...

Message from Nettie. She's awsome!!!

How can this family begin to explain the journey this courageous man has gone through this last year? The daily struggles and triumphs? The knowing and not knowing? .....The learning of living a different and new life?

It has been 1 year to date since Tony's accident......since all of our hearts stopped and dropped to the pits of our stomachs in fear of losing a son, a brother, a father, a soul mate and best friend.

As I have said before and will continue to say..... For a man that wasn't expected to make it past the first day of injury, Tony is going nowhere but forward! He has beaten so many odds and proven to be the most courageous man. Everyday he amazes us with his strength and whit. He continues to exceed any expectations with such force.

If you have had the privilege to know him before his accident...you know these are his traits. Yes...Tony is a quiet man that never wanted to be the focus of attention. Tony has always overflowed with respect, honor, integrity, and love for others. Racing has run deep in his blood for 30 years and continues to be in his heart today.

You cannot imagine how grateful we are to have Tony with us today! Thank you with all of our heart to those involved in saving Tony's life this day one year ago. We are in debt to you.....we would be lost without him. The love and vast support from everyone is much appreciated and is a tremendous pleasure. We are honored to call you friends.

Tony has come a long way....FAST, with only one year of recovery under his belt. Some call it luck....others call it faith. I say "That's our Tony.....always determined to be a proud son, a protective brother, an AWESOME father, a beautiful soul mate, a awsome best friend, and a gracious V1!

We love you good Tony!

Anthony( Tony ) Modica for all that don't know. He has been involved in the off-road world his whole life. I basicly would describe him as a person who has been racing since he was kickin it in the jewels!

I was able to finely visit him last week. I never got to see him after his accident. As much as I wanted to, I just couldn't make it. Tony is the greatest person in the world to have as a friend or basicly anything to do with.

Just wanted to send a special props to Nettie, Granny, Danny, Wyatt and Bowde. These are Tonys Biggest fans, and these are the people who Love him more than anybody in the world. They have given up almost everything to care for Tony and be there to help him go to his Doctors appt, and help him to be where he is today.

Thanks again !

Love you all good!

We are all so proud of Tony and the terrific progress he has made over this past year. As a fellow Rover, I am proud to say I know Tony.

FYI - a little news about Matt Eddy - Matt was so impacted by what happened last year with Tony's crash and the helpless feeling that many people feel when they want to help but don't how that he has since become an EMT - Firefighter. He still works at the railroad where Tony worked but now is much more prepared if and when another human being is in need. Kudo's Matt. You have made so many people proud. You are a good Man!

Kane see's Tony every once in a while when he takes Aaron to the wound care specialist in Apple Valley. Last time he saw him he couldn't believe how good he looked.

Keep it up Rover Brother.

We love you Anthony, Jason, George!!! Anthony was on all our minds this past week at the race (and always). He is doing remarkable considering all he went through last year and continues to deal with on a daily basis. He has such a great family!
GOD BLESS!

I saw a Tony Modica in the results. Any relation or just a coincidence. I know it's not Anthony.

DP Racing / District 38 bikes 308 and 309 still remember the horrific crash of one year ago. A.J. Stewart, Mason Gillespie, and Jimmy Lopez remember and honor Anthony with decals on this year's 308 and 309 bikes' front fenders, including chase trucks.

All the Best for Anthony. V1/AM

I've never met Mr. Modica, but heard about his accident the day it happened. I'm not sure why it bothered me so much-maybe it was a reality check in the fact that anyone who races is always on the edge of disaster. I ordered these stickers from Baja.net to show my support for him. Ironic as it may be I had a nasty getoff in January and still on the mend even today. The first thing I saw when I tried to stand up was his sticker on my front fender. I pray for him often.

P.S. A.M. has touched more people than you may think! People ask me about the sticker a lot.
