We are only 7 weeks away from the famous SCORE Baja 1000 and they have postponed the drawing until October 28th, 3 weeks before the race. I am surprised more teams in all classes are not entered yet.

This will be my 3rd year not racing the 1000 or even pre-running it. I am not even sure the reason why I am not racing it.

Maybe for me the NORRA Mexican 1000 has already given me the Baja adventure I was looking for this year?
Maybe, If it was a peninsula run I would probably do what ever I could to be there?
Maybe it's just the cost to go racing?
I haven't even made plans to go yet, but I wouldn't miss the race and atmosphere of the Baja 1000 for anything.
SCORE has seemed to offer some great courses this year, so that is differently not reason.

What is it for you?
You can pick 2 options or post your own.

Anyone who selects the last option needs to have their head examined. Baja 1000 still is the granddaddy of all off road races.
when you have done as many as I have the race just does not have the attraction to me it once did, much better options for me these days to keep me happy.
