ive recently started modeling and designing long travel/race kits for various vehicles
and i was wondering if anybody has any stock vehicle dimensions for some of the truck models.
currently im working designing a few budget lt kits to put together and test.
im trying to be able to design a strong dependable geometrically correct suspension system
for as many different vehicles as i can basically.

i dont plan on marketing them or trying to make money
its a hobby ive picked up and before i get too crazy and design/build a full 800hp full tube chassis truck
i want to make sure i got the basics covered!


so far all of my geometry is pretty spot on
i only have less than .04 degrees of camber change throughout 20-24" travel depending on the vehicle
its all cad designed and the suspension is cycled realtime
i use suspension analyzer and racing aspirations geometry calculator

im hoping somebody will point me towards some new frame dimensions
for some new trucks

i cant seem to find any

so far ive used a tape measure and my brain to figure it out
but i dont have access to half of the vehicles

A little camber change is a good thing.

yeah i have a bit more to tweak with before anything is laser cut or water jetted
a local shop will do it for really cheap if i supply the cad files

im still figuring out how to setup camber and vehicle dynamics and how to compensate for cornering and such things...

one day i will have it figured out !!

its a slow process when u have to teach yourself

A little camber change is a good thing.

I thought you need neg camber in bump during cornering mine is designed with -5deg of camber at full bump

i have always made my front ends with a little neg. camber at bump and pos. at droop- to help cornering . am I crazy?
