Since this years Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 will be going to San Felipe, phone numbers of hotels have been added to the hotel list.

I saw the course map @ the expo 687 miles to 705 Ensenada to SanFelipe to Mikes then back to Ensenada. The best thing is that Riviera Racing is 1st off the line.....

Robby Gordon is entered in the 1000 or at least his name was.. Wonder if he will make it doing Busch and Nascar? Would be bitchin to see him again..

He has a cup race that weekend in Miami so he probably won't be racing the 1000.

John, almost positive Robby is racing the Baja 1000. His truck is going to be painted stars and stripes like he had it painted at the 1996 Fireworks 250. He does have a NASCAR race that same weekend but I'm sure Robby will race and if he has problems he'll have someone finish so he can get to the NASCAR race on Saturday morning for quailifing. The Baja 1000 starts on Friday right!

I thought it started on Saturday but not sure.. I read today that another guy is going to qualify for him this weekend and that he will race the race for more experience. Maybe that will be the case at the 1000 also.. I hope so..

If RG is going to attempt to "double-up" that weekend, I hope that the media hypes it, the way they do when RG and Tony Stewart attempt to run both the Indy 500, as well as the NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 on the same day.

The media needs to be made aware of his plans NOW, so they can generate attention to the Baja 1000 in the coming weeks.

Tony Stewart raised almost a 1/4 million for his double duty. He donated it to the new Petty organization "The Victory Junction Gang Camp". Kyle Petty and his wife are opening this facility in honor of their son Adam. It would be nice if RG could get "sponsors" for his double duty and give to FDNY, NYPD, PA, and families of the heroes! Exsposure and charitable work.

Josh W said that Robby has a cup race that weekend in Miami. It just so happens that I will be on vacation in Miami that weekend heading down to Key West. How can I find out about that race?

Mast to Assist Harvick in Driving Chores at Martinsville
Robby Gordon in 31 Car at Martinsville

In other RCR news, Robby Gordon will continue behind the wheel of the No. 31 Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse Racing Chevrolet Monte Carlo this weekend at Martinsville. It was rumored that he was out of the ride after not qualifying for the Oct. 7 UAW-GM 500 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte. Both Gordon and Mast tested with the Lowe's team Monday at Greenville-Pickens (S.C.) Speedway.


Mast will qualify Harvick’s Cup car in VA while Harvick is at the Busch race in Tennessee. RCR felt this was best for Harvick as he is leading the points in Busch and allowed him to focus on Busch and not have to concern himself with Cup until Sunday.

How far south of San Felipe' are they going?

Any information on the course will sure help with my planning.
