SCORE has 3 races starting and finishing in Ensenada, they are trying for different variations on the racecourses but as I stated in the past they need to ditch the Baja 400 (in the end it's an old school Sal Fish B500) and just concentrate on the 250, 500 and 1000.

I was part of the 2016 Baja 500 and personally, I didn't like a full Baja 500 racecourse being run in the desert in June, in April is a different story with the former CODE Mexicali 500 being run in that month.

I was at the Summit in 2016 watching all these moto riders going over the summit in the jackets they started the race in foggy cool Ensenada full well knowing that they were dropping into a furnace without taking a moment to get out of that gear for the desert portion.

How about bikes at NIGHT, on an abbreviated course without the desert. And start the cars/trucks at 7:00am.

**edit - how much more sense does it make to start the bikes in the afternoon out of Ensenada and let them turn at Mikes and call it good?
Well... it is the Baja 500, so there is that.
