The Bud Elkins, Steve McQueen Baja Boot is for sale on Ebay. 45,000.00 bid but the reserve is still not met....

Seems like it would kill it at Barrett Jackson.....definitely a huge piece of off road history!

I think it sold at Barrett Jackson for right around 200K the last time it sold......Am I off on that?

It's comparable to Henry Ford's 999 racer which is the father of all race cars.....The Baja Boot is kinda the father of desert racers.....I know the Manx is important but this is a purpose built racer and a pretty big part of our history!

what a great car. that rubber pipe insulation taped on to the shoulder harness' is the bomb. any guess' as to how much it weighs?
