I was afraid that was what they do. That soesn't do anything for the actual worn areas down inside the spherical bore. On a ball joint like that if you run your finger down inside you will feel a dip just under where the window is milled into the body usually on one side only. This is where this style of ball joint wears the most. Grinding the face of the flange will take the slop out of it so it feels good but that doesn't restore the bearing areas that see the loads. Are the ball joint pins they install new and what material are they made of?

re. "ball joint pins they install new" i have no idea what your refering to. didn't mess with the ball at all, just snuged up the cup.
