I need to choose engine for my 110WB, light, a-arm buggy. It has to be a 4 cylinder and there is no restriction on cc. I have a built 091 with 930 setup, SD III yoko's. My choices are narrowed to the following:

ecotec 2.2
pros: stock form good HP and reliability, cheap. score class 4 I believe?
cons: have to buy adapter etc, don't have 5th gear
I heard everybody uses this with the 2D, not 091

destroked 1650cc rabbit engine
pros: I have all set up for this engine, and someone who sells me one, also, could run in 10 class?
cons: old school and life of the engine it's short
don't know if there is any advantage and how many HP it has

rabbit 2.0L 16v
pros: I already have it and adapter
cons: I don't know anybody who uses this

subaru ??
pros: lots of torque
cons: don't know anything about this engine and have to buy all parts

Which one would you choose and why? Thanks for your input
otto

Can you run the suburu with a turbo? If not I would go with the Ecotec. What is the race series?

I would look at the 2.2. or the 2.4 Ecotec motor.

No, I can't run a turbo, race series are in sonora, fun-dowhateveryouwannado series. I had a long conversation with my wallet and advice me to run what I already have, but will save for an ecotec and md5...
thanks

Love the ecotec, but its way heavier than the subaru. I would weigh them all, pick the one with best power to weight ratio.
