Beta 390 for desert racing and pre running?

Hello, I am thinking about picking up a new Beta RR 390 for pre running and maybe a few desert races. I don't see to many Beta bikes running but think 390 might work out well? I would be in the 50 and up class and maybe race Vegas to Reno and the Norra 1000, just want to race some desert on a bike before I get to old:D Anyone else have information about the Beta bikes?
Thanks.

Purvines racing ran Betas up until 2016, they ran BITD and AMA west hare scrambles and Natl H&H, (maybe other series, I'm not sure), and Beta was the official bike of BITD for a year or so, IIRC.
Never ridden one, but they look like very high end, high quality bikes.

A Beta 390 ran trouble free to 3rd OverAll moto at the '17 NORRA Mex.1000.
Steve Hengeveld 1st and Mark Samuels 2nd, so I'd say 3rd on the Beta was awesome.

Thanks everyone for the info:) I did go with the Beta 390, so far with 20 miles on it, WOW what a great bike.
I like it much better than the 520 I had, much easier to ride and handle, the 2018 in my opinion is a much updated bike.
