And an after....

Yes, I was wearing all safety gear...yes I had a helmet....yes yes yes....I got tired of answering all of those questions from the nurses!!!
And no, I didn't stop riding! My first race was about 7 weeks after it happened.
Sometimes accidents happen!!!!!

Got my boot between a rock and the footpeg on my CRF riding out in the dez....end result was the rock won and I had lots of soft tissue damage, completely dislocated big toe (tore every tendon/ligament), and about a month of sitting on the couch checking out race dez on my laptop!!

Actually the doctor couldn't believe it when I told him the only thing I was worried about was if I could wear flip flops anymore!! I said I'd have to quit doing watercraft testing if I couldn't wear them!

Luckily I still can...I just get more 'flat tires' than I used to!!!! Oh well....could be worse!

And Jerry I agree....the bikes not the one that hurt me...it was the rock!
