just looking at the BITD Laughlin Desert Classic scheduled the UTV races on Thursday night instead of Friday why ? that's another day i will have to take off work they did same type of stuff for the mint if they want to keep drivers and specters they really need to do a better job of planning

HDRA did the same with the thunder trucks they raced Friday while the rest of us was at contingency so no one even seen those trucks at all

It was on Thursday night last year. It is the same day as qualifying for the other classes. Last year was the first year of the UTV night race during the Laughlin Desert Challenge.

Next years schedule for bitd will be released around V2R. Should be much different with the split with the martelli's.

As stated above, this is the same exact schedule of events from last years Laughlin Desert Classic. The Thursday night is essential in order to facilitate drivers meetings, and track prep for the Saturday morning race. With it being a night race it is also beneficial to not have the full staff up all night Friday and then a short nap before a full day of racing. Last years adventure had around 100 UTV’s entered in their classes.

In Desert Racing, it isn’t possible to make everyone happy. And even within the organizations there are many differences of opinions on how to best operate. They have to do what they can with what they have.

Next years schedule should be out shortly and as expected a few changes for Best in the Desert.
