I am looking forward to this one! BITD puts on a great event, The course is changed this year from the last few years, and its up in the mountains where its a little cooler! Who is racing? I know the team has been trying to put together some fun new stuff for everyone. Also supports the small towns up there alot when you stop in and get gas, snacks, etc! Be sure to show them some love.

Was a pretty fun course. But we'll never subject ourselves to that heat again. Ya its hot in baja too.

If this race was in January or February, October - december ? IDK these permitting windows are fkn stupid.

I really liked it though - our first race ever and I was slow.

85 Car truck entries with 24 Non-UTV, hope that number climbs before race day. As of now 16 vehicles to qualify, hopefully they adjust the times for that so there aren't big gaps. With that many just have one group.

Does seem kinda low currently. But BITD tends to always have a pretty big turn out. Just alot of late entires after Baja seeing how vehicles held up I bet.

I'm waiting to register till after this weekend to see if we can get the car ready. I've chased it a few times and it was a ton of fun but I've never been the guy in the car so I'm really hoping we can make it

Seems like racers arent signing up until the last minute for all promoters. Silver State is definitely one of my favorite races too!

We are in the same boat.

Howe is building is a new spreader bar and they don’t have much time. We are heading home from LA today to work on the truck and get it shipped off on Monday.

Have to ship the trans off to Maximum to make sure it’s OK since it got ran dry and hot. Replacing cooler lines with new crimp style. Need to find someone who makes those.

The rest of what we need to do is simple and will only take a couple days. We have one day planned to go over bolts and all fittings after we get it back together.

Also need to replace the seat belt cam lock on driver side. We thought we got it cleaned out and prepped well but it came off twice in the first 35 miles. We will post the in car video soon.

We don’t need to touch the suspension or the rest of the truck.

So we are also waiting until the last minute to register for the race.

My list is long also, but i have the right people around me I think to make it happen. My seatbelts are tagged for 22 and I’m hoping they aren’t out of date

What kind of seat belts are you using? What do you mean it came off? Was the belt ever fully secured in? I am curious as I have not heard problems with these since they became legal.

It’s the new impact one and not sure why it failed. It came out twice at KOH. We cleaned it and it seemed to work much better. But at SF it kept coming undone. We have another one we will replace it with and send the bad one to Impact for inspection. We have had impact cams for 3 years now and no problems as long as you clean them.

It’s just one lap belt part that’s coming out on its own. We have in car video of it.
